Ordered this for a butt/lean seat on my new Lowe bass boat. Springfield Marine is the OEM for all the other seat pedestals on my boat, so it was natural to remain with the same manufacturer that the boat manufacturer uses. Unit is top quality (even if manufactured in China) and serves the purpose perfectly. The cylinder action is smooth and consistent. Paired it with a seat from BassBoatSeats.com and it looks like it came originally with the boat. I will use only Springfield Marine for seat pedestals and bases.

Pin in bottom bends. Manufacturer assured me they would fit my Nitro well. They did not. Not the seller's fault but they simply fit very loosely and then fail. trying another brand
