Pros: Quick and easy to install directly into an existing light socket—no wiring hassles. Brightness and color temperature can be controlled with the included remote or through the app. Fan is surprisingly quiet and provides solid air circulation for smaller rooms.Cons: Fan power could be stronger for larger rooms. Its really meant for small spacesFinal thoughts/Summary: Perfect for spaces that need better air circulation without complicated installation. Great choice for convenience.

This light was purchase to put in a socket light in my kitchen. I wish it came with a longer extender. It does make a rattling sound when spinning (yes I made sure it was tighten in the socket properly and the fan blades are secure) but not so annoying to detract from the functionality. I Purchased this because my stove hates me and bacon. So when I make bacon I turn it on for an extra fan to circulate and it does a wonderful job of cumulating the air.

It does what it's supposed to do, but as I wrote in a review for the white version of this fan, the blades are pretty flimsy, so it feels cheap. I would be scared to break the blades if I accidentally drop it or if something hits the blades.The breeze is pretty small and limited, so don't think that this could be a viable ceiling fan solution. But for what it is, and especially for young kids, it feels nice.Oh, I also don't like that the fan is completely controlled by the remote. So if you turn the light on but don't have remote, you can't control the fan.

This socket fan was extremely easy to assemble and install. I had it up and running in less than 5 minutes from the time I opened the box. It comes with instructions, but honestly, the setup is so intuitive that we didn’t even need them. The fan blades just snap right into the center unit, and then you screw it into the socket. You do want the side of the blades with the little ridges facing up when installing them. You will feel a little click once they are fully inserted properly. Once installed, just put the battery in the remote and turn it on. It puts out a great amount of light and air for such a small little unit. I installed it in our unfinished attic to provide some extra light and to try to help cool it down in the warm Summer months. I’m very happy with this fan and am considering ordering a 2nd one for the other light bulb socket that is up in my attic. It’s just an added bonus that this is wifi enabled… allowing me to turn it on a few minutes before heading up there to maybe cool it down a little bit beforehand.

I got this for a small storage room that gets pretty stuffy in the summer time. I had considered mounting a permanent fan where the center light socket is, but that is such a hassle (and in the case of this small storage room, a bit of overkill). This small light & fan fixture is so easy to install. And it is so lightweight that it shouldn’t affect the socket significantly, although the fan does tend to wobble some on high. For now, I keep the fan on a lower speed.The overall build of this fan is light and the blades are flimsy. But in this application of using a standard light socket, the lighter the blades and fan housing, the better. According to the seller’s page; the fan motor draws 30 watts, and the LED light draws one watt per 50 lumens (light at full brightness is 1500 lumens, which would also equal 30 watts). If that is correct, then the full power draw should be 60 watts when the light is on full and the fan is on high. That is very doable.The remote control works well. There is also a phone app available to run the fan using Bluetooth. The phone app can be found on Google Play Store (“FanLamp Pro”), and my phone’s antivirus software says it is “Safe” (no malware). But it also rated it as a “Data Harvesting App”. So, if I ever lose or break the remote, I could install the app on my phone, and use the app in its place. For now, I am just using the remote.The light is very bright, but it is dimmable, and there are 3 color temperatures to pick from.The fan seems to move the air around OK for now. Of course, this summer will be the test (I am not really looking for cooling, just some acceptable air movement).

I love this thing! Such an amazing invention that puts normal ceiling fans to shame!! I put it in a ceiling light socket and instantly I have a ceiling fan with a light?? How cool is that!The fan works decently well, and the light is surprisingly bright and lights up the room.The included app is nice so I can control it without a separate remote. I'm always losing remotes and frustrated with changing batteries in them all the time!Such a clever and amazing invention and beats buying a ceiling fan and having to install it, or go through a big uninstall process if you move or want this in a different location within the house.Highly recommended!
