This shovel works great at busting up the ice on the sidewalk and driveway. Its easy to use and fairly lightweight. I haven't had a chance to use in my garden yet for weeding, but I can tell this will be a useful tool in my garden too. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This may sound strange, but I used to edge my lawn with scissors. My husband has a large, unwieldy trimmer that I cannot pick up, so that was off the table. This works surprisingly well. It leaves sharp clean edges that look really good. I couldn't get the handle on but that was a me issue, not a product issue. Be sure to remove and replace the blade guard to keep the blade sharp.

The listing for this product calls it a Shovel, but you would have to stretch the definition of Shovel pretty far to have this product fit. It is more of a Blade. The business end is completely flat - there are no edges to hold snow or ice on the blade. It is only 9 inches wide, so anyone with a standard 36 inch sidewalk will be making at least 4 passes. And, since the blade has no edges, you'll have to push everything to the side. Picking it up and throwing it is not an option since everything would slide right off the sides. The blade is secured to the first of 3 handle sections by screws. The 2nd handle section screws into the first, and the 3rd handle section screws into the 2nd. But the hand grip just pushes on - it does not screw on - so the hand grip tends to pull off the handle when used. This product is a good idea, but needs some work to make it really usable.UPDATE: After the first snow of the season (about 3 inches) I tried this "shovel" out for real. When I pushed it, it made a 9 inch path by pushing snow off to the side. When I pulled it backwards for another pass, the hand grip came off in my hand, as it is in no way secured to the shovel. Made a few passes, cursed at it, brought it into the house, took it apart, and threw it in the trash. Rating reduced to 1 star, since that's as low as I can go.

The weight is mostly at the shovel head itself, it's thick enough with a sharpened edge good enough for snow and weeds. As for the handle, it's not quite heavy duty or at least it does not feel like one. I mean, it won't break or bend easily but having a thicker metal tube handle feels more sturdy to hold and use. This adjustable handle is lightweight but still good and durable enough to use, it's rust-proof so that helps. There are 2 bolts with wing nuts connecting the handle and head securely. Other than that, I don't have too much snow where I live to test this out but I am using this shovel mostly for my backyard lawn and gardening so it should be more than sufficient. The head itself should be great for snow, that, I feel confident of.

This snow shovel has an adjustable handle for different people or different angles of use. It is heavy-duty and looks as though it was meant to power thru ice and heavy snow. The weight and balance seem good and I'm a senior citizen who only does the patio, but I'm anxious to see it perform under pressure. I think it's going to be great. Easy assembly.

As advertised it states it’s a snow shovel. I wouldn’t consider this a snow shovel at all. The flat, small metal base wouldn’t help me in a snow storm. Buyer be aware. This could be used as a garden tool but definitely not for snow.

This is much better for chipping ice than it is as a shovel. It's very small(about 9" across), and just ends in a blunt edge. It's not really meant to scoop anything, just to chop dirt while doing edges, or breaking up ice that you'd use an actual snow shovel to push away.It is fairly easy to assemble. There are two screws that attach the blade to the pole, and the pole screws together in 3 pieces. The handle is just pushed into the top. There's nothing to secure it, so if your shovel gets stuck and you try to pull it out, you might just yank the handle off instead.Overall, I'm fairly bothered by this design, as it makes the shovel not that versatile or durable. This is fine if you need it occasionally for light jobs, but this is not a tool I'd invest in for heavy use/big jobs.
