Used some heat tape and placed it on the back of the X6100 and keeps the thing a little cooler.

The heat sink itself is solid. Works well as it’s intended. Although, it could use Allen screw holes in the corners OR use a thermal pad adhesive. Item came with no adhesive

I bought this heatsink to attach to my 2.5Gbps switch that gets really hot.I used some thermal glue to adhere this heatsink to the switch.I'm planning to put an extra PC fan pointed at this to give even better cooling.

Just simply setting this on top of my aluminum fanless 10GBE switch dropped the overall surface temperature ~ 20 degrees. Was hot to the touch before and now it’s just warm. Well worth the ~$15
