The silicone waterproof barrier helps protect areas from water. I was able to use in 2 areas and so far it's working very well. I needed this for my bathroom and kitchen sink. It works well and I'm glad to find a product I can use. Had I known about this product previously, I would have saved myself a lot of money due to water damage in my bathroom. The product works as a barrier and protects from any water leaking through my ceiling. I was able to surround the area that I noticed if water gets on the floor, it leaks into my living room. Very happy to find this product. It is a great value for the money. It fits and easy installation. So far it's been durable. I haven't tried to remove it so m not sure if it will be easy to remove. I probably won't be removing it until I have new flooring.

This shower water dam works great. Very flexible but yet durable. The adhesive works great and so far has no leaks. Very happy with this shower threshold, water dam.

These silicone quarter round strips have adhesive on only one face, which made them a perfect choice for providing a water barrier on the front and sides of a laundry room sink (see photo- front not shown). Since they are comprised of silicone, white silicone caulking was a good material to fill any gaps or unevenness at the corner joints between individual strips. The rolled barrier strip is easy to cut cleanly using a box cutter. In the application shown in the photo, a different 2-sided adhesive geometry strip is used for the backsplash- it is a good match to these side and front quarter round strip and white silicone caulking was used to perfect the transition and effectuate a professional looking waterproof barrier- it was very easy to do.The adhesive on these strips sticks well to formica and the end result was totally waterproof, as intended. One drawback is that this material is a bit expensive relative to the amount provided. However only a relatively small amount is required to put a water barrier around a sink.It should be noted that these one-adhesive side quarter rounds are NOT compatible with the similar looking 2-sided silicone quarter rounds (have two adhesive sides) that are for baseboards. Besides that these have adhesive on only one face,, they are dimensionally different (0.6in vs. 0.5in), and they have a hollow structure (3 ribbed channel interior vs. solid). So these would not be a good choice for a baseboard water barrier.Summary- this is a great solution for a water barrier on sink- easy to apply, waterproof, and the end product looks good.

This is doing a nice job of keeping the splashed water from collecting behind the sink. It’s very flexible, and was easy to install. The adhesive is very sticky. There was a strong chemical or glue smell when the package was opened, but it has since dissipated. I wish it were a little more on the clear side, but you really don’t notice it that much. I’m happy with it. Better than trying to caulk! lol 👍

Gets the job done; it works well. It was easy to install and is of good build quality. It does a decent job retaining the water and keeping much water from going underneath, and it is a good value. I will definitely be getting more. I just wish it had adhesive on both sides instead of just the bottom.

This is a decent quality product the performs as specified. In my case I have a two-way hinged glass shower/tub half-panel which leaked from the bottom edge where it closed poorly against our bathtub. Leakage observed from this area even though there was soft silicone-rubber flashing affixed to the bottom of the glass panel. I installed the dam flush against the inside of the tub wall- preventing the glass panel from swinging inward and- to the point- also preventing water from leaking from the bottom panel edge outside onto the bathroom floor. Installation directions were clear and installation was quick. One star removed for not mentioning use of additional silicone to create a better seal around the dam (I did purchase and apply silicone sealant). Perhaps sealant could be furnished with the kit.

Instead of recaulking my bathroom walls, I was able to use this self-adhesive edge trim. It has a strong adhesive backing which simplifies installation without the need for screws or nails. It provides a clean finish and replaced the need of caulking. The trim fits well and is easy to cut to get the right size pieces. My only complaint is that the rubber material was easy to get dirty as you can tell from my picture. This kind of takes away from its effectiveness as a caulk replacement as I would like my trim to be clean.
