  • Rushes are hardy pond plants included in the blend that grow in water up to 6" deep- stems provide excellent habitat for bluegill fry and minnows and are a habitat forr birds and waterfowl
  • Great for new pond construction or ponds with shoreline erosion issues- germination begins in 7-10 days with sufficient soil moisture- plant aquatic grass seeds within 12" of the normal water line

The Shoreline Seed Mix a specialized selection of shoreline grasses, sedges, and rushes to establish an erosion resistant root system at the water's edge. Benefits of planting this blend of aquatic pond plants include shoreline stabilization, improved habitat for young fish and wildlife, and a food source for ducks and songbirds. These hardy pond plants provide a low maintenance shoreline buffer from run-off. The pond plant seeds grow best in water 6" above the water level to 6" below the water line. Rake seed approximately 1" into soil to prevent aquatic seeds from blowing away or floating away. Germination time on each species varies , but begins at approximately 7-10 days for aquatic grasses.

I put around the edge of my pond in the water out of the water, Only three came out of all those seeds. Horrible would not recommend

Thought I'd give it a try in a creek in the Chesapeake Bay. Not one seed terminated. Was looking for shoreline erosion control.
