Your cart is empty.This bit allows the rein to be placed on either the main ring or smaller lower ring for more leverage whilst the copper lozenge encourages the horse to salivate. The 5" and smaller sizes of this bit have smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion. Mouthpiece thickness: 16mm. Cheek height: 120mm (4.5", 5"), 145mm (5.5", 6"). Stainless steel is the most common material for bits. Durable, easy to clean, tasteless and does not rust. Copper is used in the mouthpiece, creating warmth and encouraging salivation to keep the mouth soft.

The actual measurement of this bit runs true to size, but when in the horse’s mouth it wears small, so definitely order a larger size than you usually use. My mare goes 5.5” for all other bits, but I had to size up to 6” for a comfortable fit with this one.Very good responsiveness with this bit, gives relief to a horse that hangs/plows with a regular snaffle, allows much lighter touch and because horse doesn’t lean on it, is actually kinder to the mouth. It is not dressage legal, so I use it for hacking out or situations where certain horses might lean on or plow through a regular snaffle. I’m happy with the action of this bit for those situations, and so is my mare.

After struggling with bit issues I did some research and talked to my instructor and she recommended this one, this bit is awesome! Perfect amount of leverage without backing him off too much!

This feels like a nice quality bit, but runs very small. My QH normally goes in a 5" (in quite literally every other brand I put him in), however this bit runs more like a 4.5". If you are considering purchasing, order a size up.

Other reviews were correct that it runs small - I ordered a 6" for my mare who goes in a 5.5" normally and it fits her well. Well manufactured.
