I have an old bike that had toe clips that I removed years ago. The peddles had gotten slick from wear and were not symmetrical top and bottom, seemed like they were always upside down when I put my foot on them. These are large and made from aluminum. Great quality and grip.

Ended up returning these because they sent the wrong color, but I did buy a pair somewhere else. Had it installed on my bike and it's been great regular flat pedal. No reflectors on them but I have my whole bike reflectored up so that's fine, just a heads up.

Love these. Hate those metal pedals with little spikes that eventually all fall out anyway. Solid, one piece, don’t scrape the crap out of you if they come into contact with something other than the sole of your shoe.

I bought pedals a year ago or so from my local bike shop for my town bike. They were done after 2 years.I trust shimano - high quality products. They only fail after thousands of kilometres. These pedals feel really secure under foot. They have no reflectors, but I simply took the ones off the old ones and put them in (the new pedals have a slot and screw for them). Very happy that I decided to get these, despite thinking they may be too mountain bike like. They also look good on my town bike

I ordered these pedals to replace the garbage plastic pedals that came on my Canondale Adventure 1. I'm 325lbs, and I've broken a lot of pedals in the past. These ones feel super solid, and my shoes grip them well without them tearing up the soles.Highly recommend for heavy riders or casual riders who want an upgrade!

First, after 20 years I had to remove my M324 hybrids since I don't use cleats anymore, and it got too annoying flipping over to the flat side all the time. But those pedals showed little wear, so I knew all about Shimano quality. These are large pedals, and they need to be for me with my size 15 sneakers. The only thing I miss is the bear claw grips of the hybrids. I'm still not fully used to these yet as I find myself shifting my feet without lifting off the pedal. I could have gone with the PD-EF102s but I'll take solid metal over resin any day. Top notch otherwise.

These are your regular Shimano quality pedals, nice and large for size 13 feet. Just be aware that they don't have reflectors. Funny thing is they look as if they were supposed to, but maybe no reflectors is why the price is so reasonable.

As a senior,I was having trouble un-clipping from the clipless pedals on my road racing bike, even at lowest tension setting. These provide a large platform to push against. You do not need special cycling shoes.Walking/running sneakers with rubber soles work just fine. Have had no problems with my shoes slipping off the pedals. My riding now since moving to Florida is on flat roads with a lot of stops. Lowered my saddle 1/4inch,easy to put a toe down at an intersection for safety.

I really wanted to like this pedal and Shimano can usually be trusted to put out a good product. The pedal is not bad, but it could be better. The pedal is heavier that I think it needs to be and a little too big. If it were made from a lighter composite I think the size would be more acceptable. The other issue I have with this pedal is that you will need to buy reflectors for the pedals since they don't come with them. These aren't super expensive pedals but they do cost enough that I think Shimano could have included reflectors. I ended up returning them. A further issue I noticed on bikes that have these pedals installed is that the paint wears off the pedal pretty quickly. Buying colors really doesn't do you much good because it wont last.
