Tried one of the cheaper off-brand version first. That felt very restrictive, possibly because of the fit between the Shimano banjo bolt and the adapter. This, not surprisingly, works perfectly after a proper bleed. It comes with a very long banjo bolt that looks a bit like a tool for tapping a thread. The SLX caliper I bought this for has a much shorter banjo bolt with a side hole and a central tunnel. Wasn't sure if they would be compatible but it works like a new brake setup.

The package I received contained a hose shorter than the one I had ordered and the necessary nipple and hose barb were missing as well. I put off installing this and now when I finally got around to it, I’m out of my return window and I’m out $55 with a useless hose.

Normally I’m a big shimano fan but the banjo connection started pulling out of the hose shortly after install. Now it’s slowly leaking out of there

These are my go-to brake lines for all of my bike builds that use Shimano brakes. Definitely choose the BH90 version over the BH89 (thicker hoses). They have high quality banjo fittings that are well crimped and finished well. The hoses are thick and form bends easily that will not get kinked or crimped going through the frame. The hoses cut easily with a sharp razor or a genuine brake hose cutter. This is my 4th time building with these and always have great success with the banjos, olives and barbs easily fitting together for leak free and airtight connections.
