It is exactly as described and pictured. It does not have any wipe or cup seals. It has a serrated keyed washer and top cap race. The knurled surface and serrated key let's you adjust the top cap race by hand and tighten the nut with a crescent wrench. You can flush out and grease the bearings with a red straw and spray grease can.

Simple replacement part that assembles easily and stays adjusted. You will need to add your own lubricant, as the bearings are very dry, like my wife.

It doesn't end there. I will soon order it again for another trike that needs repairs, including bad bearings at the steering components up front.

Great replacement headset for my Retrospec Harper. Comes with everything you need and I had no trouble threading it to the handlebar quill. Arrived much earlier than expected.

Installed on a late 90s 18 speed Huffy Mountain Bike that got left in the rain to long. Was just the right size but a little tight. A few small issues would be the overall stack height was a bit taller than the original so the top nut had less to bite into by about a 1/4 of an inch. Also the lower cup was a bit of a bear to install, had to use some grease and sideways positioning to get it started but once it got started it was fine. This follows the 1" iso/jec threaded standard so has a 29.9mm head tube insert.
