Did not work for LS engine Viton Valve Stem Seals, just squished the springs. I called Comp. cams before using to verify it would work with the valve spring seals I was installing. The person I talked to was wrong....

Product did not work as advertised.. tore up 5 valve seals before switching to a socket. Not a tool worth owning.. socket worked perfectly. Poor design!

This product saves time when installing valve seales on a cylinder head, it fits the seal and installs it without damaging the seal.

This tool was a bit of a mystery when it arrived. I was not sure how to use it and there were absolutely no installation instructions included with it. Called Comp Cams technical support and never got the same answer twice when I asked how to use it. Went ahead and attempted the seal job on a BBC with teflon seals. Managed to ruin two seals before I finally mastered a method of installing them. Ended up using the butt of the tool to push them on (don't forget to use the installation sleeve), inverted the tool and pushed the seal on. Removed the installation sleeve and finished the job with a 12mm deep socket. The tool works and it is cheap, but I have to believe there is something better out there. By the way, contacted tech support again and complained about no installation instructions and was told they would look into it.

Just remember to take off the little springs from your seal before you use this tool. Don't forget to put them back on when you are done!!
