The product does fine and is fine; at least after installment and a couple of loads. It is the replacement that is a real challenge. I am pretty handy, and it took hours, and at a couple of points, a second set of hands. Watch a couple of the YouTube videos to learn from each. Some managed to do this job without taking the front panel off, I wanted full access to what I was working on and to get my hands in there better. It was worth the time, no real challenge, to take the (top and then) the front off. Some videos will show this.I found 2 significant challenges, both early in process.As you are removing the original gasket, observe it very closely and even take some pictures, especially before removing the inner spring and that follow removal step.Challenge 1 was figuring out exactly what part of that new gasket fit over exactly what piece of the washer. And then, how to get it to "slip" on there. This is the step where you are advised to use dish soap or silicone lubricant. I used straight liquid dish soap on both the gasket and on the ring of the washer. The videos can't really get in there close enough to show you how these fit and where, so note this carefully in the removal process. Then, it just takes work to press it on all the way around.By the way, this whole process takes a pretty good amount of hand strength..Challenge #2 is getting that giant spring back on the inner seal. My spring seemed much tighter/shorter than the ones in the video, thus increasing the challenge. One video mentioned, and it was the process I used, was to secure the 12 o'clock position (which I did using one of the included devices) and then secure 6 o'clock. This kept balanced tension on the spring and I worked it around then. For me, I got the spring close to installed at 6 o'clock and secured it with a clamp. Then I went to 9 o'clock and worked the quadrant up to 12, using the other device or a clamp to hold 9 in place. Then on around to 3 o'clock. Clamping in place, then worked the 2 lower quadrants down to 6 and got it all snapped in. Sometimes I had to use screwdrivers or needle nose pliars to get the spring popped in. And this is where a helper kept tension on things making sure the earlier portions didn't pop out. Once you get the spring popped down in the groove it tends to stay there.Again, good hand strength needed.One other thing, my water intake hose at the top had a zip tie on it holding it to the gasket, and fortunately I had one to replace it. Get some small/med size ones, like at Dollar Tree, in case your model has that too. It's not included.So this took me several hours... maybe I'm just slow.The new one isn't compressed like the old one and we have to shut the washer door hard, but that will resolve itself in the future I am sure.Again, the gasket is great. Installation is a challenge.

As many reviews have mentioned the lack of instructions is frustrating. There are many videos online that can give you the basics though. That being said they tend to skip over the most difficult parts. I consider myself to be fairly handy around the house and garage. Getting the new seal lined up and back on is a challenge. It took multiple attempts for me. Then you get to try and get that spring back on without losing an eye. The two little things it comes with are basically worthless. It’s like a three person job and you better get creative. The guy on the video made it look easy though!??It did fit well and solve the small leak I was having in the front. Its a good quality replacement just be prepared to watch that video a couple more times in between curse words and rethinking your decision…

Ordered this to replace the moldy one. It was an absolut pain to install (which you definitely want an extra set of hands for), but it fits snuggly and hasn't leaked at all after doing about 10 loads. The door didn't want to close entirely post install, but holding the door shut and beginning a cycle helped to seat the boot and now the door shuts fine.

This is the second replacement gasket for our washer, and this one fit well, and most importantly seems to be more mold resistant than the 2 prior gaskets. If you've had front loader machines, you probably have had issues with mold stains building up over time, but after 6 months we haven't seen any. I do wipe my gaskets down after use, and leave the washer door open, but we've been doing that right along and still had problems. So this has been a nice surprise.

Different than the OEM one. The product is folded and shipped bare in a box. Installation was a pain on my Kenmore but managed to it on after 2 hours. The outer rubber seal and edge is uneven. Tried a few adjustments and put on the snap ring. You can see the quality of the matetial in this aftetmarket and rubber is thinner and sages; and it does not form a tight seal. Tested a few cycles and water leaks from the bottom. Very disappoitment after spending hours installing and ajusting it. Going back to a replacement or refund. Reasonally priced but poor quality comparing to the original one.

This is no easy task to install for a first timer but I did it! This was half the cost of all the other places I price checked. My model is the Frigidaire Electrolux GLTF2940FS1.Tips: ~you’re going to want to lube up around the ring for successful installation (it’s the part of the ring with the holes...which face the inside of the machine not the outside). Some videos recommend silicone spray or dish soap, I used a small amount of liquid laundry detergent around the ring and the part of the washer it was going into and that worked. Otherwise it will just keep popping off (and it will drive you crazy).~There is a small notch at the 12:00 position in the tube that lines up with a small piece on the washer-start your installation there and the notches fit together to help hold the ring in place while you push it in in preparation for the first spring.~The white tubes are for holding the first spring in place while you stretch it around the bellow (you can find videos for placement)Lots of videos show disconnecting the power and taking the machine apart (disclaimer: follow advice to disconnect power for certain safety) I personally did not disconnect power, take machine apart or even take the door off when I did this.Hopefully this can save someone a little time! I’d recommend this product if you need it.
