The first review I believe does not use the best method to use this brush as you cannot use the correct amount of force required to clean the grooves in the record. I developed a fixture that holds the LP that I hold by hand and then use the brush sprayed with cleaner that allows me to use a bit more force to clean the grooves effectively. I first place the record on the jig then use a soft long bristle brush to get rid of loose particles then use this brush with great results! I have spent tens of thousands on my audio system and this brush just adds to my vinyl enjoyment. Highly recommend.

This little brush is an absolute game changer in terms of stopping skips and pops on my vinyl records - It is well built and intuitive. It is important to note the brush must be damp with cleaner for it to work effectively, and running with the grooves of your records is incredibly important. When I'm using the brush I will set the record I want to clean on my record player, flip on the turntable switch to get the record spinning (with the tonearm UP - no music playing, )spray a light mist of cleaner on the velvet, and the gently set the moistened brush perpendicular to the record grooves (positioned the wide way over the record).In a matter of seconds the brush cleans the vinyl as it completes one full revolution, and the results speak for themselves! The volume of fuzzies and flecks that are captured in the brush are easily visible after a cleaning, even on records that appear to be clean ahead of time!The cleaning kit also includes a small bristle brush about an inch wide. It is important to note this brush IS NOT for use on records. Rather, it is intended to remove the dust and debris captured in the velvet. Using a brush for this purpose preserves the velvet and expands its lifespan to ensure years of effective use.I'm very pleased with the performance of this little brush. It is the perfect tool for a "quick clean" of my records when circumstances call for it, and it is much more effective than I would have anticipated or expected. That makes it easy to give this a five star rating!
