I bought these in case I sew vinyl. I sometimes sew vinyl, but didn't know there were sewing machine needles just for this .

Different types of vinyl sometimes require the use of a different needle. That is why I keep a healthy stock of them. Vinyl is tough on the sharpness of needles. I change them often.
