While the build quality is there, they will not close down on 1-1/2" stage truss. Unfortunately the item description states 1-1/2 inch truss compatibility but the smallest it can clamp down to is 1.56 inches or 39.63mm not the 1-1/2 inches or 38mm as stated. This let's the clamp to freely move on the truss.

These are super strong truss clamps. I have a couple of older, heavier lights that I was apprehensive of putting on a new truss set up, but these clamps made them feel secure enough to make it happen. I would definitely suggest these if you're hanging something similar, or for newer, lightweight lights as well. It's convenient to always have a few of these on hand, and these are top-notch. Very much suggested.
