A very good product that looks great.Beware of the ordering information! It shows a pack of 10 chains but the order is really only 5.

As a many decades user of theatrical fixtures These are excellent Cables especially if your cable is to be close enough to the audience or viewer to see the fixture and the safety cable. These will go in to a new corporate office / studio with a very low pipe grid. Very clean and all elements covered in a BLACK plastic. MY ISSUE was ordering ! ! ! The sale page on Amazon stated a PACK OF TEN (10) what I received was a pack of FIVE (5) ! ! ! I spent over an hour with the Amazon chat trying to request that they ask the seller to correct the pack quantity error. THAT WAS A REAL CHALLENGE.

These safety cables work well enough, but they’re smaller than I expected. They’re fine for lightweight fixtures, but for larger lights, I’d prefer something a bit more robust. The carabiner locks are easy to use, and they feel secure when attached. They get the job done, but they’re best suited for lighter applications.

So, I have literally never seen neoprene coated safety cables before. I have tons of black ones, they are all painted. I have tons of plain steels ones, they are, well, steel. These ones are coated... the cable is normal steel, the carabiner is steel, it is exactly like other safety cables I have, except that it is coated. This of course poses a concern for me, that being will it just get scratched and peel off?But in the short term they are very nice to work with, because you don't have the steel cable rubbing against you while using them.Honestly, I probably wouldn't pay extra for that, but it is nice, and these are otherwise fine safety cables.
