The casing itself feels sturdy, it's been in the outer pocket of my purse for several weeks now with no leakage or parts falling off. It's compact and doesn't take up a ton of space, and brightly colored so easily spotted even in dimly lit areas. The safety cover that kind of "locks" the spray button is fairly sturdy and has stopped anything else in my large purse from accidently setting it off. But the the little cover is easily moved up to utilize the actual spray.Unfortunately in a couple tests in no wind areas it did not spray as far as advertised. But it was very effective in stopping a stray dog from attacking us while out and about. No blowback on me or my dogs, the other dog immediately took off. It makes us feel much safer in our walks after being attacked twice.

Purchased for my daughter and not only does she feel a little more secure with having it handy but it’s also her favorite color. (Love the colors it comes in) it also tells you how to use, it has a safety piece on it as well to prevent you from accidentally releasing the gel.

Decent value for the price. I will mention that the mace broke off of the keychain so it can’t be carried on my keys anymore.

Love this! Think I like the pink better than the black. Haven’t had to use it, but makes me feel safer!

Recently my beagle mix was surprised in a sneak attack by a neighbor's dog on our walk. She stood her ground and the dog ran back home when I yelled and commanded her too. My dog was not fazed at all, showed no signs of injury. Hours later I found a small puncture wound on her shoulder that later became infected and treated with an antibiotic.I needed something to stop another attack. I found and bought the Ruger Pepper Gel projector. Ruger and Sabre are brands to trust. Came in 2 days. Projects a tight coherent stream out to 12 feet (no droplets to blow back). 25 quick blasts or you can hose it on the attacker. Small, light, I'm tucking it into a coat pocket or my jeans watch pocket when we go on our walk, hold it in my hand ready to use when we near the attacker's home. We were not vigilant before, but are now. A secure safety lid, easy to insert thumb quickly with no fumbling. We'll probably never have to use it as this is the first attack in over a year of walking in this neighborhood, but the security is there. You can test it out before you need it (OUTDOORS ONLY) so you know what to expect. It was very easy to use, I hit the tree where I pointed it first time. Law enforcement and security officers use Sabre pepper gel deterrents, and this is the same pepper gel they use. The liquid pepper sprays put out a burst of droplets that can blow back on you and your dog. They have a limited range. This is a fine stream like a monofilament fishing line. Peace of mind. First - be constantly aware of your situation and all around you. This Pepper Gel is a second level of security. Read the reviews, two purchasers of this used it to stop viscous dog attacks and it stopped the dogs instantly and drove them away. I recommend this.
