Worthless and a waste of money! Each of these are rusting before two months and then the conductivity was slim to none!I am using them for sensors in my rain water barrels, but now that they are rusting, i'm getting intermittent signals from each of them. The water is fresh rainwater.I can always take a wire brush to clean off the rust, but then that will probably make them rust even faster, the next time. One of those trouble if you do or trouble if you don't situations. I will be looking for another vendor better stainless steel characteristics with anti rust.

These were a direct replacement for my tanks.Installation was very easy, just push them in and tighten-piece of cake. The hard part is if you want to remove the old ones. You don't have to remove the old ones, just drill a hole next to the old ones and install the new ones, transfer the wires. But if you're like me and want to remove the old ones here is what you do.First it goes without saying make sure your tanks are empty.Remove the nut holding the wire, then back off the shaft nut leaving just a few threads on,next push the shaft and nut all the way into the grommet then with some needle nose pliers get under the shoulder of the grommet and pull it out. If the shaft starts to come with the grommet, push it back inand keep pulling but the threaded shaft HAS to be all the way into the grommet for it to come out.Take your time and keep at it, if you can't get it out and have destroyed the grommet, then take the nut off and push the whole thing in and retrieve it on your next dump.I highly recommend these sensors.
