Good shocks, did not need to cut off any rubber. I used lube, a dead blow hammer and a bit of muscle to get the shocks installed. These are made for a truck and a lifted/off road one at that. So they are made to ride firm to absorb heavier impacts than normal shocks would. If you want a soft comfy ride, than you most likely only drive a truck for show and these are not for you. Also these do not lift your vehicle, shocks do not lift a vehicle. They are made for a lifted vehicle, but will not lift your vehicle themselves.

Added these to my sons 2013 tacoma that has a 2" lift and air helper bags on the rear. These fit well, perform well, and look good.

My OEM shocks were shot, noticed a huge difference when I installed these. Ride smooth on road, and light off-road. Better than what I had for sure!

2016 Tacoma TRD Sport DBCB long bed 4wd. Lube the rubber grommets on the lower so they slide in the mount easier. Kinda of a pain to install comparing to other shock installations. Between these and the add-a-leaf suspension just installed, I should be much better to handle a loaded bed and trailer tounge weight. Truck rides better than it did when new. The shocks these are replacing were the Rancho RS 5000, I would NOT recommend those. They didn’t last two years/20,000 miles and one was blowing oil everywhere & limp, the other was very weak..

These shocks didn't even last a year. Both blown out. Don't hail heavy loads , don't tow. Spend the money get better ones, different brand.

Had to grind a little of the bushing down to get it to mount on the bottom…they came with 2 different lengths and even the shorter 1 was 2 long…once I grinded it down they slid right in…this is on a 2014 Tacoma

Truck rides so much better since I installed these , easy to install. I used a little engine oil to lube the rubber bushing before pushing into saddle on the bottom side.
