I used to cut 3/4 plywood, did an 8 foot run and broke 1 with minimal pressure. Better or worse than the lesser brands, not sure, glad I got them on sale.

i bought these to cut a hole into a .5" mdf board. cut great for about 3 inches then dulled out. I guess the rotor zip is only good with dry wall and thin wood. For the price this is great compared to $5 for a pair. These ore getting harder to find and more expensive. Might be time to invest back into the good old jig saw.

Seems like a good quality zip bit. Have not used heavily as of yet.

Much better than the bits that came with the tool. Cut fast and wear well. My house was built in 1812, and even the interior walls tear up reciprocator bits in no time, but these last quite a while.

These are excellent cutting bits. I recently used them to cut holes for door strikers in a gate post made of 1/8" steel plate. They are made out of high speed steel HSS. It is an alloy that is harder than normal tool steel. That means they can cut mild steel and anything softer, without dulling. The only downside is the harder a cutter is, the more brittle. These won't flex when you cut towards the end. If you push too hard, they will snap. I have metal shop and repair business, and I keep a pack in my roll out bag with my ridgid 12v tool set. Which, by the way, is outstanding as well.

I used these bits with the DeWalt DW660 rotary tool to cut scroll work in 3/4" hardwood and also to cut 3/4" exterior treated plywood. I cut extensive scroll work through 2 and 1/2 pieces of 7 foot long 12 inch wide 3/4" thick pine boards before dulling the 1st blade. I have no complaints over these bits. None of them broke -- just got dull after a lot of cutting. If you are going to use a rotary saw for free handed cutout work in hardwood or plywood, use the DeWalt DW660 Cut Out 5 amp rotary tool with these blades and your project should be effortless. The only trouble you should have is in developing the technique and skill in controlling your saw as you make your cuts and that will come with practice.I am a 52 year old FEMALE woodworker so ladies get you a rotary saw and buy these bits and have fun!
