The retractable leash had an extra piece that prevents the dog from chewing the leash. So i am happy with this retractable leash and would recommend it.The leash is comfortable, durable, has a safety light, great size, and the functionality of it is perfect.

Not a seller issue. This is a poor product, period. After 1 week the steel extension broke. Used it for 3 more weeks. The leash snapped. Return date has passed. Tied the lead together. Two weeks later the lead will no longer retract and light has fallen inside the handle. Not surprised because the switch was never reliable. Is there anything you can do to help? Refund or replace? Thanks.

I had a lighted leash that my pup snapped - thus one is supposedly stronger - it’s certainly more comfortable to hold and the lighted area is bigger and brighter and easier to control with one hand. Should make some colors, though!!

We frequently take our dogs out at night and are always looking for a good leash with a good light. I've found wonderful leashes with lousy lights and ok leashes with strong lights. I prefer built-in lights as opposed to one's that clip on. I also want a rechargeable light. This leash has a large handle, perfect for my big hands even when wearing gloves. Smooth retraction and easy to hit leash lock. The light is very strong. The light switch is odd, requiring a double tap on the side of the leash. It's not always consistent and doesn't work with gloves on. I wish the hasp was a bit larger.

Worked well for a few weeks. As of right now it doesn’t retract anymore and is permanently locked with about a foot and a half of lead. Now we’re stuck walking the dog on an extremely short lead. Very disappointed.

The light is great and handy. Comes with a poo bag holder. For 110 pound dog - mine is 70 and very sturdy. Good design.

I love how bright the light is. It is lite and comfortable. I love the extended bite proof part, my dog has already tried to bite through it but cannot. The length is perfect. It recoil nicely. And it locks well.All positive for this leash and I've gone through many!

This retractable leash with the LED light is FANTASTIC. The light is very bright and casts a huge spotlight. This is incredibly helpful during night walks. Also love that it’s rechargeable. I loved it so much that I ordered one for my daughter. Highly recommend.

The good things about this product:It feels sturdy and good quality, it also has the hold leash button function which you can use easily and has a slide function that let's you keep it like that without you having to hold it, it's also pretty useful, this is about the 4 retractable dog leash that I have owned and this feels a better quality than the others that I had, it's also a good price, the LED light is pretty useful when is dark however it has some disadvantages. The bad thing about this product:To turn on the LED light you have to tap twice on one side of the handle which in fact is cool, but practically is not that great, why? because that LED light turn on every time it hits something, and sometimes when my dog is pulling and that light gets on, I get so frustrated and having to turn it off with two taps is also frustrating specially when you are in a rush, in my opinion there should be a slide button or something similar that doesn't make the led light to turn on by itself.

This Marchelves Retractable Dog Leash is great for walks with you furry companion, day or night. The metal, coated chew resistant addition to the leash is perfect for those pups that love to grab the leash to show you where they want to go; ours loves to do that! It retracts, locks in place, and unlocks nicely; it does have the odd fetch up, but all retractable leashes tend to. What really attracted us to this leash was the rechargeable flashlight, this is perfect for night walks, or evening trips out to potty. It seems to have a good battery life as well. I think the price is a little steep, hence the 4 star rating; however, with the current coupon at the time of this review for 20% off, I do recommend giving this leash a try!

This leash has lots of nice features. The light is very helpful when walking our dog in the dark. It is made with sturdy construction. However, it stopped retracting after only 6 weeks. Now we are unable to use the leash because it is fully extended and drags the ground.
