I use it in the summer to reflect the sum and provide an air barrier when the temperature goes above 90°.We have a southern exposure that has a lot of window surface. In the winter, that's great, but in the summer it adds too much heat, so I literally hang the tarp from hooks above the glass - works great. Our southern exposure faces a forest, so no one can see it or complain about it.

I like that the product arrived quickly and was as described in advertised. I'm using it to shade an area including a pool pump and filter. The Sun is brutal here in the Phoenix area and time will tell if it holds up. It is stretched tightly into a frame with small bungee cords. It will be under constant stress and in the Sun constantly. I hope it is as resistant to the Heat and sun as the claims.

We bought three 7x10 finished size tarps to hang in front of an open patio the length of our home. Tucson has monsoon-style storms in the summer with heavy rain, hail and wind gusts up to 60MPH being common. Our porch gets quite flooded and tarps protect against this. In July, a severe storm hit involving tornado warnings and chains of microbursts. The storm destroyed our neighbor's enclosed porch, wrecked another neighbor's carport, uprooted large trees and saguaro cactuses, destroyed the roof of a nearby bowling alley, and took an entire wall off a nearby Autozone. Winds were clocked at 76MPH.But these tarps survived beautifully, with only 2 grommets torn, despite 2 of the 3 metal channel posts we secured the tarps to being uprooted and bent badly!We need to set up better supports once the season over, but the tarps are hanging in there nicely through the near-daily storms.
