Purchased these for my harris pontoon to give me additional locations for my bumpers. They matched the factory releases and were easy to install and use.

These aren't all that good! They feel solid and work sort of. Main issue is that the slide used to release the fender isn't very good. I think the reason is that the slide cover on the back isn't quite flush with the stainless steel body of the holder, so when you screw it down tight to the boat, it pinches or impinge the slide mechanism. Out of the six I bought, only 2 of them work well, 3 work but not well, and one doesn't work.I am going to try a silicone spray to see if that might improve the operation. Neat idea, but either designed poorly or manufactured poorly.

What I dislike is that they do not supply a rubber gasket required in order to protect the ships rails

Pros:These already prove to be convenient so as to not have to deal with multiple ropes on cleats. The spring tabs work smoothly (after modifying) and the 2 loop sizes are handy as it gives you knot options. Hard to beat for the price.Cons:The problem is that they cup slightly outward on the base, while boats have an inward cup due to their curvature. I had to put 4 out of 6 on my bench Grinder to reshape the base, which in turn required reshaping the plate on the backside that holds the spring components as they would hang-up. Every boat is different which means there's a lot customization, which is why I'm not giving fewer stars.

My package did not come with tapping screws (needed to for pontoon railings). Be sure to use them. If not, you might end up breaking the screw while installing. BTW, I used these to place our paddle board on the side of the pontoon,

Easy to install, makes putting out the bumpers very easy. These should be standard on all pontoons. : )
