Very well build they work great with if you live on a well. They completely got read of the bad smell that was in our well water. Also made the water taste amazing and not soapy for all the limestone in our well water. One very big thing though is that no were in the instructions and we double checked does it tell you to take the filter out of there blue case and remove the plastic that they are wrapped in. So before you turn you whole house over to the filter please please to save yourself a massive headache take the filters out of the blue cases to remove the plastic around them.

So i did my homework on what fittings and hoses will be needed for my application and everything worked great. No problems , no leaks , no issues. This filter its big and strong and its doing its job for my well water. You can see how the filter already getting brownish from all the crap coming out of my well and its only been 3 days. i never really though my water was that bad since i have a water softner and it never really fell bad at all. i use all corrugated hoses for easy installation and future replacement and stainless still fittings and no problems at all. i used good quality teflon tape , about 5 times around (teflon i used its thick) and tighten the fittings as much as i could. The gauge reads about 8 psi less than my well gauge. Not sure why but the water pressure seems to be the same as before.

I do not recommend this housing filter. I trusted this product based on reviews. We installed this housing on a customer just for the item to be damaged and leaking just a couple days later. We immediately changed it to a pentair and I called for a refund because the exchange was out of the question. The manufacturer received the item and to no fault of my own I get charged a "damage fee" of $7.41 because the item was damaged. Someone explain that to me? I installed a brand new housing, it leaked, I returned it because it was still under warranty and I don't get a full refund.I will never purchase an item from this company ever again.Theres a saying in spanish. Lo batato te sale Caro. And it's very true. Never again. Thumbs down ๐

I am very impressed with this filter housing. I was a bit hesitant to try this brand, due to the fact that I bought a smaller version, that came with a mounting bracket so flimsy and made of cheap plastic. I had to actually build my own out of steel. Other than that I had no problems with the smaller version.I took the chance, and thankfully, this filter housing came with a good sturdy steel bracket. It does a great job. Here are some of the other features I like about this housing. First, itโs well made. It has the good steel bracket, plus the plastic main body is good and thick. It can take a lot of punishment. Also, I really like the clear housing. I like being able to see how the filter looks, without taking it apart.Another selling point for me was the. Brass female NPT threads. I used stainless steel fittings with it, so I ended up buying thread tape made specifically for stainless steel fittings, which sealed it up nice and tight. I just could not get it to seal completely using Teflon tape. The final selling point for me was the fact that it came with a water pressure gauge. I didnโt know if I would really use it or not, but I found that itโs very handy. For starters, I can see what kind of pressure the entire water system is at. I am on well water, so thatโs a good thing to know. Also, I started out with a fairly limited water supply that supplies the filter housing. The pressure actually dropped extremely low, when I turned on the filter system that it goes to. Now I have the supply set up to where the pressure gauge shows that I have plenty of water flow and pressure. In conclusion, I would not hesitate to buy another one. I may actually be doing that soon. I have not had a single leak, it does its job very well, and I can keep a visual inspection on the filter. For what this cost, itโs a great value, and I definitely recommend it.

My first attempt installing this was a nightmare, it leaked no matter what I did. Finally got it sealed then when it came time to change the filter it leaked again. The filter housing is well made, it is heavy duty, has dual O rings on the blue housing at the top above the threads. SOOOO>>>>>>> Here's what I did that solved my problems, FIRST the threads in this filter are NOT true NPT so when you buy a bushing to reduce 1 inch down to 3/4 inch it is very sloppy. MFG says 10 wraps of Teflon tape.... I had more than that with pipe dope, still dripped. The threads are brass, so my first install I used a brass bushing's (1 inch reducing to 3/4 inch)The main problem is...the depth of the female threads (of the filter) is too deep for the length of the brass bushing, so the bushing can't bottom out before hitting the filter housing on the outside. Which means the sloppy threads with the American NPT bushing is difficult to seal. So, I went to the local hardware and got new bushings made of Galvanized pipe again 1 inch down to 3/4 inch. The galv. bushing has about two or three threads more in length. BUT.... because the bottom of the female threads is flat, and so is the bottom of the male bushing threads. I got an O ring and made sure it had to be pushed in to set flat inside the female ports, which takes 90% of the stress of the water pressure. See the picture...Now the bushing does not bottom out...but does squash the O ring to help with the seal.Think of it like putting a nozzle on the end of your garden hose. (It will leak without a washer) I still used Teflon tape on all threads but did not need more than 4-5 wraps. NO LEAKS YAHOO!!BE SURE TO...Use food grade grease on the rubber O rings and threads of the blue housing when installing filter, and when changing filters.DO NOT...sweat copper near the Teflon tape...sweat the pipe fittings first then wrap the tape and install the pipe, making the last connection (sweat) AWAY from the Teflon tape. (Even then I used a wet rag wrapped around the Tape to absorb heat)Hold the RED button down while SLOWLEY filling the filter with water, let go when water comes out vent.HIGHLY RECCOMEND........Installing bypass for service...so that you don't have to shut down the whole house and drain the pipes. See 1st Picture. Also be sure to release the pressure (RED BUTTON) when changing the filter, helps un-screwing the housing. One last thing.... the filter that comes with this when new only measures 9 &3/4 inches tall. I have tried 10-inch-tall filters that are supposed to fit but seem to be too tall for the housing to screw in far enough for the two O rings to seal. (again see #1 pic-very little gap when screwed in all the way) Only 1/4 turn past snug.It can work :)
