MdPro Prova Flex-Heat Uncoupling Membrane
Membrane systems combine the flexibility of a loose-lay LuxHeat heating cable with the ease of installation of a mat system.
PROVA FLEX-HEAT can be used for interior residential and commercial tile applications on cement slabs and wood substrates.
Suitable OSB (exterior glue only) substrates for ceramic tile installations include the following:
• 16” o.c. joist spacing, minimum subfloor thickness: 5/8”
• 19.2” o.c. joist spacing, minimum subfloor thickness: 3/4”
• 24” o.c. joist spacing, minimum subfloor thickness: double layer 3/4” + 3/8”

PROVA FLEX-HEAT – Tile Underlayment
Enjoy a warm floor while extending the life of your floor covering.
PROVA FLEX-HEAT is an uncoupling and crack isolation membrane with channels for inserting multiple sizes of low-voltage heating cables. The underlayment consists of a polypropylene sheet with studs for carrying heating cables, channels for managing vapor, and a polypropylene non-woven anchoring fleece for securing the membrane to the substrate.
The fleece layer is secured with a polyolefin-based adhesive, and it provides Shear Stress Control by neutralizing stress caused by substrate movement.
- Can be used with multiple wire sizes of up to 0.2” (5 mm) thick.
- Achieve 3" (7.6 cm) Cable Spacing: Provides most efficient heat distribution as per wire manufacturer specifications
- 0.26" (6.5 mm) thick membrane: Can be used without heating cables for matching up to higher floors to achieve a level transition
- Vapor Management System: Open-air channels beneath the fleece layer provides a path for moisture to dissipate.
- Achieved an EXTRA HEAVY Performance Rating When Tested to ASTM C627
