Worked initially, though did not put out a flame anywhere near the picture. Then after little use it would not hold gas. Next time I will purchase a less expensive torch so I feelI got my moneys worth when it dies.

ive bought this item from this seller several times.they last for short time and fail.i have so many i can peice them together. the seller is worse than the product. he never wants to make it right. no service center.. there are worse units out there though than this unit. i use mine bi daily and dont miss treat it.

Do not bother. I didn't buy this on Amazon, but had a hard time filling it with butane, from a Blazer can. Tried plastic nozzle adaptor, filling straight from the Blazer nozzle. I finally filled it....and then managed to half fill it one other time. Third try: forget it. I followed all instructions I could find for this product and others like it. Emptied out the remaining gas in it by depressing the pin nozzle underneath. And tried refilling. Leak leak leak. Checked the valve / screw around the pin nozzle, the slightest tightening stripped the screw...cheap alloy construction. I have work to do, no time for this. Buying another brand. The end.

This torch is of good quality materials and is made to last, I was a bit disappointed at the use of plastic on the top "grill" looking piece but aside from that I'm very impressed,especially with the fact that this torch is sold as a "blue point" off the snap on truck.

Pretty nice torch for the money. I'm using mine to silver solder stainless rings on fish hooks and jigs. Needed something with a fine flame but hot enough to melt silver. This works great!Update: 12/22/2013, Still going strong, would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Have to say this is a fine product, good price for a very practical devise. Comfortable handle, you can use it on small places and lay it on its base when not in use. Well constructed, so you can use it for many soldering sessions and for extended time. I highly recommend this product.

I did some research on hand held torches and Solder-It PT220 looks great in this respect. I have been using this torch daily for about two months and it performs perfectly. Initially there was a big problem with seller Wesco Tools that knowingly sent me unpacked defective product with no packing slip and did not show any reaction to my several requests for replacement. Only after Amazon.com got into play they sent a replacement product that works fine. I recommend that you buy THIS product from a DIFFERENT dealer.
