Hand wash or brush with warm water and mild dish washing liquid, and rinse thoroughly. Let turf air dry fully before replacing in tray. Turf is not machine washable. Do not place turf in washing machine or dryer. Consider the purchase of a replacement turf to use while the primary turf is being cleaned/dried.

I recently moved to a 4th floor apartment and wanted something on my balcony for late night pee breaks for my miniature dachshund. She used it immediately! A peed pad fits perfectly under the grass insert and on top of the pan so cleanly should be pretty easy. Can't beat the price. So happy I bought this.

This product met my expectations. It is an option that works well when I am unable to get home at lunch to let my little pup out or when it is raining or really cold, she can use this Tinkle Turf instead. She is a 15 1/2 year old chihuahua and going outside in bad weather isn't her favorite thing to do.

Pricey but my dogs took to it. I work long hours so it's a lifesaver. I do have to take it outside and hose it weekly do to the smell but it's a floor saver and poop clean up is a breeze.

I was extremely impressed with how sturdy the plastic tray is. I had purchased another brand previously, and the tray was a thin plastic that cracked the second time I picked it up. This one should last for YEARS! The only real issue is there aren't any channel's in the bottom of the tray to divert the urine to the edges, so puddles stay where peed.The package only has the two pieces: Turf and tray. The other kind had a rubber-backed pad that went under the turf to help absorb the urine. I recommend using a pee pad under the turf to help absord the urine. Otherwise, the urine spreads under the turf and soaks the whole turf the first or second time the dog pees (depending on how much liquid is left by animal). Before I used the pee pads, my puppy would only go on it once, then she considered it "dirty". With a pad, she will use it 3 or 4 times before I have to clean it.The turf is longer than other brands I have used, which more realistically simulates real grass. When dogs get used to going on the short turf, they will sometimes have trouble going in long grass that tickles their legs & tummy. This longer turf makes the transition to real grass much easier.I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish this brand also included the extra material pad the other brand I used included. It keeps the tray cleaner if the pee pad leaks, and in turn saves me time as I don't have to wash the thing twice a day (very fussy puppy!)Added: As my yorkie gets a little bigger I am finding she is hanging her hiney over the edge and missing the pad/tray. She is only 4 1/2 pounds and not that big, but it is becoming messy.I have just re-ordered 2 more sets in the LARGER size so she has room to go more than once.I suggest ordering one size larger than you think you need, just to be safe (and some enzymatic floor cleaner as well!)If your dog is fussy like mine, she won't step where she has peed, so the small tray is "dirty" after one potty.

The product itself was great...my dog took to using it right away. The only complaint I have was the smell. After a few days, the smell of urine was so overwhelming (even with washing it out) that we had to throw it out. I would stick with real grass if possible.

I just ordered this for my teacup Yorkie & it is exactly like real grass. She is only 9 weeks old & doesn't always have complete control yet. This is for times in the night when going outside a few times won't do. I am happy I ordered it now & intend to get spare refill grass patch. Thanks Amazon for the quick delivery.

I find this products works most of the time, we have had a couple of accidents but I am pleased with the results. I place a potted plant that hangs down a bit close to the mat this way my little boy dogs have the plant to lift their leg to and the urine goes on the mat. I also place a pee pad under the mat on the tray for easier cleaning. At the moment I am just using it outdoors on my deck. I have small dogs and the deck is fairly large, my yard is not fenced so they have the run of the deck. I don't like them peeing all over the deck because we sit there, so this keeps them doing their business in area. I am happy with the product and would recommend it for anyone who has trouble teaching their dog where to do their business.

smells bad!!!! It is near impossible to remove the urine smell!!! I now use the bottom tray with newspaper.... very disappointed especially considering the price.

My dog would never use the tinkle turf unless I sat her on it. It had a strong plastic smell and the "grass" started falling out the first time I tried to hand wash it. What didn't fall out couldn't be cleaned. Waste of time and money for house training your pet.
