the pole has good height and is light weight, but the twist lock required a pliers to loosen. Now the pliers will not budge the twist lock and i have decided it will have to be a permanent extended pole. Possibly my particular pole is defective and this is not a defect of the model - therefore i will give it a three rather than a two

I was totally impressed with the quality and strength of this rod. When fully extended it was still very sturdy.
