Bought this for my mother who has limited ability. This gives her extra room to reach in to wipe that the standard seat does not allow. It is also softer than the plastic. The seat slides but I put a zip tie on either side to keep it in place.

I used this seat on a bed side commode after surgery. It was much more comfortable than the small cold, hard plastic seat of the bedside commode.
