I've gotten into the instant film cameras lately and find they're fun to play around with. I'm not thrilled with how much the paper costs, but the kids also enjoy using it and sometimes they bring these out with me when I have my larger mirrorless camera. I have a Fujifilm model as well and the Polaroid seems about equal in build quality, but it feels less 'toy-like' than the Fuji. I also like the way the Polaroid looks better, it has more of a retro style to it. Image quality is about what you'd expect, the pictures are soft, the exposure is slightly off and there's minimal sharpening; this is all by design I believe, as the resulting images do have that nostalgic, sort of dreamy look to them. It prints out reasonably quickly too. I really like the viewfinder on this camera and think it's considerably better than the Fuji Instax Mini 12. Same goes for the flash and really, the images in general. It's not the fairest comparison, as the Polaroid is almost twice the price and Fuji has higher end models than the Mini 12. They're both very good instant cameras though, but I really like the styling and toy-like feel of the Polaroid and the images really nail that retro look.

4/5 -Unboxing to Setup: The camera was already charged, so there was no need to charge it. The directions are well made and large print. The good: Ease of use is pretty straight forward. Power button, shutter button, and a button to turn on and off the flash. Installing the pack of polaroid photos was very easy as well. The camera worked well, and was able to take shots relatively easily. It also came with a wrist strap that was easy to install. The bad: The camera itself is quite big, doesn't fit easily in most bags. I would compare this to the original (non-compact) polaroid cameras. If you have small hands, you might struggle to hold on while taking photos. Developing time on the photos took a while, and the colors are not any better than they were 20+ years ago.The ugly: Price of the unit is not horrible, but the replacement packs of film are quite expensive.Overall, its a nice gimick and fun to use. If you have a valid use for a polaroid camera, I would recommend it.

Polaroid has been on the comeback trail for a while. I am happy to report the greatest brand in instant cameras is back. This is nostalgic enough to scratch that itch and versatile and up to date enough to warrant purchase. The quality of the photos is great and the exposure time is short. The autofocus feels like more than a simple add-on feature to move more units. It feels well thought out and actually useful. The app is very cool and adds quite a bit of versatility to the camera. All told, the asking price is appropriate in my opinion.

I don't know if Millennials killed polaroid or brought it back to life but here it is!Firstly the camera:- Fantastic build quality- Durable- Easy to use- App integration is great and LED lights indicate various modes that you are in such as self-timer, double exposure, etc.- Easy to reload with new film- Fantastic timeless designFilm:- Tad expensive at about $2 a photo- A bit desaturated and muted colors (to be expected)- I feel the nostalgia while shaking it like a polaroid! All in All this is a great kit and I highly recommend picking this up to relive the glory days of Polaroid!
