Used this to power a Phillips Hue Hub in a location I did not want to run 120v power. This worked great to run PoE from my switch directly to the Hub. Fit perfectly.

I got this to power a non-poe camera in my shop area. This works extremely well for the camera and worked instantly. I like that it has holes to wall mount. The cables are pretty short but long enough to plug into power and Ethernet. This unit converts Poe signal into power which is plenty enough to power my camera. I like that this adapter is extremely easy to use and is plug and play.

I'm using this to power some small single board computers. I tested it with an old GuruPlug which originally has a 5V3A supply. The output of this adapter was 4.93V with the SBC running. The case of the power supply warmed up to around 44C (111F) after some hours of operation.Without any load the adapter outputs 4.99V. It turns on and off to check for load, and makes some whining noise as it does this. The green LED is the good shade of green, and shows clearly through the case. The case has two holes for mounting. Procet has superior ultrasonic plastic welding so I'm not even going to try to open the case. The cables on this unit are fairly short, about 12cm. There is no shroud to protect the RJ-45 tab. It comes with a 5.5x2.1mm to 5.5x2.5mm barrel adapter.

This is one of those things that If you need it, you REALLY need it! Power Over Ethernet is a great idea, but once you've gotten the power into the Ethernet cable, you have to get it back out at a Voltage and Current that will run the product. Many POE devices have that power extraction feature built in, but if it that's not the case this unit may be just what the doctor ordered for 5V

I've used MANY of the common form factor PoE splitters, and I wanted one that put out 5v and found these and they are PREMIUM.There's something about these, they just have that "we give a shit" feel that is *Chefs Kiss* Mua! All connections feel within tight tolerances so barrel connectors have a firm feel, and RJ-45 connector and jack both have a satisfying *TWICK* when connected. Noice.I've already designed a few 3D prints that include this, and I'll be using them for anything 5v 2.5A.I hope they come out with a 802.3bt version in this form factor with the different tails, I really like how this cleans up wiring to 10/100 smart home devices, and how it has the mounting holes so there can be some order.I would love to see a version that has the On The Go (OTG) version with power and USB ethernet over the same connector.
