This kayak is awesome, and I ordered it at 7pm, it was on my doorstep at 7am the next morning. Super happy. My wife got a 10’ that can allow her to bring the dog, this one is a bit shorter. I’m 5-10 180 lbs and this one works for me.

My 80yr old mother rocks this kayak walleye fishing. She loves the openness and stability of it. I like the light weight! Was shipped in record time in immaculate condition!

Me and my girlfriend were in the market for a pair of new kayaks and after much research and shopping around I pulled the trigger on the pelican angler. So far we are really happy with our purchase. Here are some of the pros and cons of the kayaks.Pros: first and foremost I was a little worried about having these delivered, I saw pictures of other peoples kayaks that were damaged in shipping but to my surprise they were delivered in immaculate condition, not even a scratch! These kayaks are very light weight, I can carry them with one hand and the finger hole for carrying them are perfectly in the balance point of the water craft. They are small enough for me to transport them in a short bed Toyota Tacoma. They are very stable even for a 6 ft 230 pound man such as myself, I was surprised that the draft was still high enough that water didn’t come up through the scupper holes, I thought I’d need scupper plugs but I didn’t. Also the kayaks are extremely easy to board in deep water if you fall off and very stable even for a guy my size. The biggest pro was the cost of the kayaks for what you get. Nothing on the market beats the price.I love the storage areas of the kayaks, the center console is awesome and the cup holder is great too. the back storage is nice as well, these things can carry quite a bit of cargo. Now for the things I didn’t like about these kayaks. The foot rests, they are way too close for me and I’m 6ft, even with them adjusted all the way out my knees are bent and they are in the way for stretching out. I also can’t find a way to remove them and may have to drill the rivets out to remove them. The seat is not very comfortable, it could have used more padding but I understand that I bought a budget kayak so I guess I can upgrade in the future. The fishing pole holders are super hard to reach and should have been angled in the opposite direction to make it easier to retrieve your pole. The back storage is also tough to get to if you have your tackle back there. I figured these were gonna be a breeze to fish off of but I found it too frustrating to do on the kayak. It’s more about finding different beach’s that are only accessible by kayak and then stopping to fish then actually fishing off of. They kayak is just way too small to make it practical to fish from so just know they call it the angler but it isn’t really a fishing kayak in my opinion. One other thing I didn’t like is that the plastic the kayaks are made out of seems to be very soft and any contact with the ground will scratch them very easily, this could be an issue later after tons of abrasion they could start to leak. Not as durable as other plastic kayaks I’ve seen but maybe that’s the trade off for the weight. All in all I like these kayaks and they will serve me for years to come. You really won’t beat the price for what you get. They look nice and track well and are very fast in the water. If you are looking for a serious fishing kayak look elsewhere, but if you just want to get out on the water for cheap and are looking to carry a little cargo these kayaks will do the job.

Great kayak for the price, can stand on it but I don’t often. Easy to load and unload, have only used on medium sized electric only lakes so can’t say on the handling of waves but for what I deal with it’s phenomenal

Took this down the Wabash river in indiana. Performed perfectly! Had quite a lot of gear on board and it handled it quite well. Had a canoe before the kayak is way easier to load and unload. Love fishing in it. Could use some rod holders in front but everything else works great! It also did well going through swampy and brush filled areas...very tough! It has greatly expanded my areas to fish..I can go on many adventures now that I couldn't before!!

Well it came just in plastic bags and has some minor scratches so better packaging would have been great. It feels a bit tippy initially especially since it's narrow and seat is raised but has great secondary stability; the more you use it the more comfortable it gets. Best is that it's so light and with the handles it's so easy to carry.Sturdy and has housing for screw holes it means no screw penetrates the body of the kayak which is amazing. Also exactly 10' long NOT 9'6".Seat also takes a bit of getting used to. Overall so far I like it but will update my review later.Updated from 4 star to 5; I love this kayak.

This is my first sit on fishing kayak and I love it. This kayak is stable, easy to maneuver (tracks pretty straight) and not too heavy. You will definitely want to bring along a cushion of some sort as the stock seat is not the most comfotable on the back. The rod holders allow you to store 2 rods or 1 rod and a net. the small storage compartment between your legs is NOT water tight, so if you plan on storing electrontincs in there, I recommend placing them in a ziploc bag or drybag.

This kyak is very unsteady and tracks terribly. If you breath wrong your going to tip over. Very uncomfortable hard on butt and legs seat. Go numb in a couple min and can't adjust well. No weight capacity for gear. Water floods into kyak through the scupper holes. This kyak is a joke. An inflatable for under 200 is a thousand times better. Boooooo 1 star, boooo get off the stage. Kyaks a joke and a bad one at that. I'd rather paddle around with my hands on a log like gollum than ever use this again. Shoppers be ye warned ⚠️

Arrived yesterday separate from the shipping bag and is missing the center console. Truck drivers said the bag is not secured well and it slipped out of the end. Other than a few minor hull scratches, it looks great. Have not tried it yet so will update after being out on the water. Edit: Contacted Pelican and they shipped the missing center console at no charge. Great service! Also tried the boat lake trout fishing last week in windy weather and it was very stable, easy to paddle, and comfortable. A bit tricky climbing in and out but you get used to that quickly. Easy to slide onto my SUV roof racks, upside down. 5 stars!

This is a nice light kayak. I bought it for my teenagers to use. It is better for smaller paddlers. The seat is basic but reasonably comfortable. It is entry level but decent for the price.
