I purchased this after moving into an apartment with a peephole. I wasn't comfortable with my door being directly outside and knowing that anyone could look in at any time. It was easy to apply and has stayed with no problem. It is really an inexpensive extra step in security.

Enclosed in my review are 5 pictures of the peephole cover on my apartment door. I got the red bronze color and it is really attractive. I was relieved to see that the cover was smaller than anticipated and therefore not intrusive on the door. The cover did not come with directions but it was very easy to figure out even for this 72-year-old woman.Before I put the cover on my door I opened and closed the cover door about 7 times to loosen it up a bit, as it seemed a bit tight at first. This helped. One side of the adhesive affixes to the back of the cover and the other side affixes to your door. You just peel off the backing from the sticky side and attach it to the cover and then peel off the backing from the other side and attach it to your door. The adhesive seems like it will hold very well, but the company does give you an extra adhesive piece. This is really great as there is no drilling required, which many apartments won’t allow.I love this cover. The door opens smoothly and it performs well. It is an excellent value for the money. Now I can hide out and play possum in my apartment without anyone knowing I’m home because all of the apartment light is blocked out.

Works good for the money you pay. Easy to install and fit nicely. Only issue is the little door is so hard to open, I’m hoping over time it’ll loosen up.UPDATE: It’s been about a year of me opening and closing the little door and it’s smooth now! Giving it 5 stars:

I moved into a place with peepholes facing directly into my everyday living space. Technically anyone could have seen if I was home very easily and it made me feel uneasy. These have been a perfect game changer. I am so thankful they exist!
