Super flexible for the various tablet size. Great improvements over the first mounting system I had.

d my wife's tablet while she sings. the arm holding the tablet kept moving toward the floor - no matter how tight we screwed it down. i hate this as i have a large number of peavey speakers, mixers, and bass and guitar amps. this peavey item is a disappointment.

Had to return it. Contrary to claims, the product is not sturdy, not durable, and would not securely hold my 9" tablet. Multiple points of potential failure and design flaws, to the point where I did not trust it to the simple job of holding a tablet. The clamp plate would not work on my tablet, which is 0.45" thick with rounded bottom edges, an older 9" NookHD+. Nothing in the description mentions not fitting thicker tablets. The Amazon item description shows a picture (third one down on the left) of a four-sided holder. This picture is apparently included by mistake from some other product; you will not get that part, you only get the two sided clamp shown in the other pictures. The first time I tried to mount my tablet, the clamp jaws closed slightly crooked against the tablet, and the whole mechanism jammed in the closed position. The little pawl release lever that is supposed to unlock the clamps did nothing. I could not free it. I finally had to pry the clamp plate off with a screwdriver. The clamps on the end of the slider plates also have a design flaw. The clamp ends are angled inwards with a small lip to retain the tablet. But they are not rigidly connected to the slider rail, they are doubly hinged so they can flip-flop toggle between a narrower and a wider clamp span. If your tablet is too thick, the lip will not hook over the tablet edge, and the hinged part allows the clamp jaws to actually pivot away and open wider (loosen) the more you try to close them. Frustrating, the opposite of what you want.Instead of spring force, this Peavey design uses a ratcheting pawl to clamp the tablet in. Two geared rack slider rails mate with a pinion gear connected to a larger gear, against which a spring loaded plastic pawl ratchets, to lock the clamp position in. The pawl and gear teeth parts are tiny (sub-millimeter), delicate, thin plastic, and only two of these tiny teeth engaged when locked. This is a potential point of failure: should these teeth wear or break off, the clamp will loosen, and your tablet will no longer be clamped in. Maybe not a problem if you plan to leave your tablet in the holder permanently, but I don't trust it. Especially after it jammed on first use. There are also two tiny retaining clips that hold the slider rails in. These clips each have two pegs that press fit into holes, held in by friction only. If a clip pops out, the slider rack can disengage from its pinion gear, resulting in immediate loss of clamping force, another potential point of failure. Good luck finding the retaining clip if this tiny part pops out on a dark stage. Maybe they'd stay in and never fall out, but I don't want to take that chance.Unlike the fragile plastic clamp slider plate assembly, the 45 degree elbow that connects the clamp plate to a mic stand or boom is made of nice heavy duty metal. However, it has a few problems. The smaller end has an internal thread to attach to a screw coming through a swivel plate. This screw is captive but spins loosely inside the swivel plate, where there is no access, no easy way to tighten it into the elbow or to see how much thread engagement it has. The second problem is on the other end of the elbow, where a 5/8"-27 threaded collet is provided for rotational adjustment and tightening. The added thickness of this collet limits the net useful thread engagment to 1-1/2 turns for the actual securing of the elbow to the stand. The net of these problems is that it requires alot of fiddling around to get it adjusted, and even then you can't be sure it will be secure.I returned the Peavey tablet holder, thanks Amazon for making that part easy. I went with a competitor's product for about the same price on Amazon, that uses rigid 90 degree clamp arms; the product is supplied with multiple rubber lined clamp ends to fit different tablet sizes. It is a simple spring-loaded design that holds tablets, thick or thin, securely, with or without a case. It is easy and quick to mount or remove the tablet. Finally no worries about the tablet falling.

A really great idea. The stand portion is solid and works very well. It is durable and holds up very well to touring use. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the part that holds the iPad. That part will not hold an iPad in any kind of normal protective case. It also is somewhat easy to break. I replaced that portion with more durable iPad clamp that could hold my iPad with a case.

Nice product, BUT my tablets were too thick for the holder to grasp them. I returned the mounts with no problems at all. Fast redund. Great service.

Good design but be sure but with an Ipad 12.9 be sure it's very tight before you use it.
