Shorts are really comfortable, but one size up from your regular size. These shorts have great padding too.

Good fit and comfortable. They are light weight and the padding is adequate especially for short rides. These will also be perfect for under tights for cooler weather rides. These are not the best shorts you'll ever own, but a quality pair of light weight shorts. I immediately bought a second pair.

After owning two pairs of these shorts for multiple years I purchased this set to allow three days of consecutive riding before I needed to do laundry. But when this third set arrived I quickly noticed that the shorts didn’t have the same amount of padding as in the past. After several rides it was verified that the manufacturer had reduced the quality of the padding. And much worse, after 3 to four times in the laundry the elastic began to deteriorate. I now have to pull up my shorts while riding. Meanwhile the two older pair of shorts are fantastic with no issues. While this brand has provided great products in the past I would steer clear of these shorts and find another manufacturer that provides quality products.

Good fit. Decent chamois for spending a few hours in the saddle. Good value.

I find the pad isn’t what i would expect. They just aren’t a comfortable short for me!

Estan muy comodos, el unico pero es que me gusta que el short me cubra casi hasta la rodilla, mido 1.80mts y me quedaron mas cortos de los que acostumbro usar.

Pearl Izumi padded shorts have a good fit, smallish, discrete but very effective padding. They don’t ride up your leg.Highly recommend

The fabric is lighter and less tight than other Pearl Izumi bike shorts I've worn and the padding is also thinner, but they worked well to minimize chafing on long bike rides including two rides over 80 miles long.

I prefer shorts to bibs and have worn Pearl Izumi shorts for years now. They proved much more long-lived than the other shorts, including Santic, I tried. i just recently bought another pair because I have been riding more. The newer shorts are even better: The padding is a bit thinner and more contoured. Less adjustment is needed while riding. Better fit. I'm at the big end of size medium. Same high quality. They are very plain: One color, one thickness of fabric, not a lot of different panels of fabric. no colorful piping, etc. But they are comfortable and they last.

I'm referring to "PEARL IZUMI Men's Quest Cycling Shorts, Padded & Breathable with Reflective Fabric". There seem to be variations of this product. I had a prior version with a pad that was thicker and a brighter blue in color. Recently I bought an L size (36" waist) and found it unexpectedly comfortable. The pad is thinner but more comfortable than the prior Pearl Izumi shorts I have used. The only complaint I have is that the fabric squeaks a little when it rubs against my saddle (a leather saddle) or against the bike frame when I stand over the top tube. I can live with that. I bought two additional pairs after riding the first pair for about a week. The fabric is also a lighter weight, so while durability might be a concern, it doesn't concern me. They look pretty well put together. For me, the comfort would cover a multitude of sins.

These shorts are great - sizing fits as expected also. They’re not ultra high end but like all Pearl I - they’re top notch and at this price point, well worth the price. I’m less tempted to run them into the ground as I would with more expensive shorts - so get em, use em, and when they need to be replaced - rinse n repeat. So far I’ve been rotating a pair of these every day for a few months and even with daily rinse/wear they’re showing little to no wear. Pads are softening a little bit - but unless you’re riding every day for 30+……..

Definitely not the same quality shorts they were 4-5 years ago- I have had several pair, so I know. These Pearl Izumi mens medium cycling shorts use to be fabulous 8 panel shorts (far Right 2017) and a heavier gage material, full waist band the entire circumfrence of the top opening. The middle pair is 6 panel and I got them in 2019.... Today, the pair I got are tight- like a half size down, (far Left 12/2022) and they are 6 panel and a lighter weight… and the waistband is only partially finished/ reinforced on the posterior waist and not the entire circumfrence. Even the reflective features are getting minimalist. I like mens shorts because the leg inseam is way longer and the rise on the top of the back of the shorts is higher, so doesn't slide down/ roll like womens do.I need to find a new favorite manufacturer- These use to be amazing cycling shorts, but not any more.
