These do work as long as you can keep them from falling off the pan when you pick it up or move it. They also don't hold much water and dry out very quickly. It's also a pain to tighten well around a pan because of the small loops and how it wraps around the pan. I'm honestly thinking about just making homemade ones that will work better and actually stay on the pan when picked up. The color also fades after 1-2 uses... Wouldn't by again

Im not sure how these work, but they make your cake come out even and flat. Simple to use Gave as gifts to all my baker friends.

The strips did not stay in place, they were very difficult to use. In my opinion , not even worth the postage.Save your money, cut up some old socks, soak them in water and tie them around the pan... you'd have better luck

I bought these when I made my first wedding cake. Used it on 6" and 9" round pans. My cakes didn't have a huge dome in the center. I still skimmed just a bit off the top so they were completely level. Definitely apply before you fill your pans. They are a little tricky too get tight, but you get used to it.

I have always made my own with wet paper towels covered in foil, which works great but is a pain and wastes so much paper and foil.I expected these to puff up when soaked, but they dont, and apparently dont need to as they worked just fine. Very easy! No more wasted paper, foil and time!

These do exactly as described. Great for baking and keeping the cake from bubbling in the middle.

The bands really do work. Cakes come out flat on top. I found putting them on (wet) with the pan upside down helped. For me they were a little tricky as they kept sliding off my Teflon cake pans which may have the slightest slant. I may just need practice. Don’t look for any directions in the packaging, there aren’t any.

These are insanely frustrating to get to stay in place around my cake tins (9") - I bought T-pins just in case I decided to use them on my rectangle cake pans. And that is to pin them to help hold and fit better. Well it turns out that to use them on the 9" rounds is the exact problem that was being anticipated for my rectangles. There is a double loop to try and push the strap thru but the tightness is never there in the manner for holding itself to the cake pan. I even flipped them upside down to try and put them on and hoped they stay in place. They did not. They still fell to the bottom to rest on the counter. Turned them over again to have a better grip again and used the T-pins and it helped. I used 2 in each pinning. That is insane to do. Now...for the MOST GRR aspect of it all... It did not give flat-level tops. Nope. Nada. Not at all. They are flimsy. I'm going to return them and either "get lucky" with finding some that do work cos I hate shaving my cakes. But these are not it.
