Your cart is empty.LOxide is an OxideOff emulsion that will react with and remove oxidation on car paints and clear coats, and applying the emulsion is an easy Do It Yourself operation. The emulsion will restore faded paint, rejuvenate peeling clear coat and areas of heavy oxidation, will remove minor scratches like key marks and will restore the shine to exterior trim and plastics. While the finish will not be as glossy as new paint , restoring existing paint and removing the oxidation is an easy DIY operation at a fraction of the cost of new paint.

This didn’t even work, I watched many tutorials and videos that clearly worked on YouTube, and i looked at the reviews. I did the same thing they all did, wet sanded with 1500 sandpaper and applied the product. It didnt work and my car has a failing clear coat. I was hoping to get a refund but that’s not available. Don’t buy this

It works good, but no as I was expecting because it doesn't clean very well.

My car spends a lot of time in front of the house. The sun must hit it at just the right angle because the only part of the car showing oxidation was a back left panel. I tried various compounds that advertised oxidation removal, but nothing came close to removing it. Looking at videos online, it looked like removing oxidation was going to need a professional's touch, or at least a bunch of tools and chemicals. I then found this little beauty. It's expensive, but it works where others fail. If you look at the pictures, you'll see the dramatic improvement after two applications 5 days apart. I just applied it by hand using an old, white t-shirt and kept the car in the garage for day to let it set. As the description says, this won't be as good as a professional repainting or detail. But it certainly makes the oxidation less noticeable at a glance. Someone has to look at that specific location at a specific angle to see that the color is a little duller.

The negative reviews I've read are from people who are absolutely putting it on incorrectly. This is NOT a polishing or refinishing compound. What I suspect it does is reconstitute damaged clearcoat, similar to how using a bit of mineral spirits can reconstitute damaged finishes on wood. I used it on some areas with very heavy oxidization (white powdery stuff) and it made it blend with the paint again. From a short distance it now looks fine, it looks 1,000% better than it did, but it is not a substitute for redoing your clearcoat. It DID NOT make the rough spots go away or smooth anything out and I wasn't expecting it to. That's not what this is used for. If that's what you're wanting to do, you'll have to strip and reapply the clearcoat. I suspect this product is what used car sellers use to touch up spots of oxidization without having to redo the whole finish. You will absolutely have to get all of the sap, dirt and loose oxidization off first, otherwise it won't work. It's not hard. All I did was use a firm sponge to get the loose stuff off without actually scouring the finish; the instructions say you can use a fine grit finishing sandpaper (1k grit or higher) to smooth the clearcoat but I didn't find that necessary and my clearcoat was in fairly rough shape. I got the loose stuff off and wiped the dust off with a cloth. The entire process from start to finish took about 15 minutes for the whole hood, roof runners beside the moonroof, the runner above the windshield, and a few spots under the front windows. It took about a quarter of the bottle. The instructions say that the contents are enough to do two entire vehicles, but I seriously doubt that. Regardless, there's more than enough to do a single vehicle.

After hand washing, doing a wet sand (1500 grit), rewashing and drying my car, I was excited to see this product at work. Some words of wisdom, don't skimp on the sanding part. I had tons of small spots where the clear coat was failing, and while the wet sanding helped, I probably could have done it another hour or two to really even everything out.The good: just as advertised a little goes a long way. I didn't have to use much to cover the car. Immediately, the ugly white failing clear coat was much smoother. The bad: if you have a dark colored car, it can be difficult to see where you have already applied the product. If you have the slightest ridge between color and clear coat your cloth will leave fibers behind. Its time consuming: be aware you should have some significant prep work, application time, and then lots of time to let it dry. That's just the first application. The ugly: I read the instructions carefully, but would suggest they add another clause. We had very high humidity the day I applied the product resulting in a streaky, sticky, uneven finish. Granted it states don't apply if rain, fog, or mist are present, but hey I live on the coast and it's rare to have low humidity, and I can't plan my entire life around a car's paint job. I can't say I'm mad at the company, but buyer beware about water in the air. I'm optimistic that a 2nd coat will remedy some of the issues.Final thoughts: The car looks much better from 50 yards away, but close up, it's a hot mess. The stickiness is holding dirt, and its kind of splotchy, streaky, watery look, but again hoping a 2nd coat will help. I could probably do some kind of solvent to remove it and reapply, but its a 10 year old car. Bottom line if prepped and properly applied this product makes a failing clear coat less noticeable. Its no cure all, but probably worth an afternoon of work and the approximately $30 price tag.
