This was a perfect mold to use for my ceramic clay pottery oyster dish. That is what I purchased it for. I loved the way my dish turned out. It is plastic and would be great to use outside for BBQ oysters I would imagine.

This is a well made stainless steel oyster tray, its 10" in diameter and has 6 slots for oysters and a space in the center for lemon or condiments. The top lifts off and there is space underneath for crushed ice.It is perfect for serving oysters to one person. It could be used for other purposes such as deviled eggs.My only issue with this tray is the price, its seems a little pricey at $31, it would add up quickly for 2-3 of these.

This oyster tray is made from stainless steel. It fits 6 oysters or up to about a dozen mini oysters. There’s extra room for the ice and a place to put the sauce (in the middle). I have used this as both an oyster plate as well as found three other uses for them when I’m not serving up oysters. This plate can also be used for placing multiple different condiments or sauces you want to serve. You can serve up to 7 different types of sauces as needed and bring them out all at once. I also find they are helpful for separating spices for cooking. I like to pre-measure all the spices I will be using for my dish and I place them individually on this plate to separate them. It just makes the cooking process a lot easier. One final use is for making steamed eggs in a steamer. I coat or spray the pan with a thin layer of oil and then crack the eggs and place them on the plate and onto a steamer. The eggs are similar in texture to poached eggs or sous vide eggs but much easier to make and healthier than frying them on a pan. Alternatively you can place the egg with the shell on the plate into a steamer too as an alternative to boiled eggs. I'll be using this plate so frequently for things other than oysters that I’m contemplating on getting a second plate. It’s really that great!

This stainless steel Oyster Plate arrived well packaged in a sturdy cardboard outer box. The plate itself comes in an attractive inner box that makes it very suitable for gift-giving. I checked the plate carefully, and found no scratches, dents, or sharp spots. The one that I received came already nicely polished. The first thing I noticed is that the oyster wells are really generous in size. I do not currently have any oysters, but this tray readily lends itself to other uses. I placed a few cookies in some of the oyster wells, but (and especially since the plate is constructed of stainless steel) it would work just as well as a serving plate for assorted pickles, vegetables, crackers, nuts, and even charcuterie and devilled eggs. The central cup is ideal for holding a small container of dip or spread, or anything from carrot sticks to toothpicks. I really like this product. It is solid without being uncomfortably heavy, and unless it gets run over by a tractor, it should last indefinitely. I started out thinking that the tray is somewhat over-priced, but when I consider how solid it is, and how versatile, I think it is a good value and a very nice product. PHOTOS: One shows the nice box, perfect for gift-giving. The other shows a few cookies on the tray. PLEASE NOTE, I do not know why the tray appears gray in this photo. It is actually quite bright and shiny silver in colour. My old camera, I guess.

Well, there really ain't much to say about this stainless oyster tray except it's reasonably well-made, fairly hefty, and it works as expected without much issue. It's mostly (and somewhat) polished without sharp edges and the quality (and thickness) of the stainless steel is on par (or slightly better) with most other quality stainless steel trays which is certainly a point its favor.Unfortunately, although the edge/rim is polished and not necessarily sharp as a whole, there are still several places where they are just too sharp (outer edge of the rim) as far as I'm concerned, and injuries are likely if it's not handled with care at those places. I'm not a big fan of sharp edges (where there should be) on any stainless steel (or any other metal alloy for that matter) utensil or kitchenware in general that's a result of improperly or insufficiently polished surface, and sadly this particular oyster tray has a failing grade in that regard. In addition, although the size is exactly what it claims to be at around 26cm, this would've been better if it's slightly larger with 8 or more slots instead (but I digress). It goes without saying that you can use it for anything your heart desires and they doesn't need to be oysters.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a somewhat decent stainless steel [oyster] tray (with 6 slots and a center condiment cup) that's reasonably well made in terms of material quality, and works as expected without much issue; however, the fact that it's not sufficiently well-polished means it's deal breaker for me (but perhaps not for you). It's a bit pricey at $40 for what it provides (or doesn't provide for me) and its overall build quality, usability, versatility, and performance. However, there are other options and/or alternatives out there with similar design and style for about half the dough if you care to shop around. Your mileage might vary.
