It works well with lots of options. We use it to time lights in our living room. Make sure you hold on to the instruction manual! It is not the most intuitive to program and takes some practice to get all your timers scheduled correctly.The type is small. I can never understand why so many imported products make the tiniest instructions with the tiniest type. If they doubled the size of the instructions, I doubt it would add more than the most miniscule amount to the costs. (Or maybe include a magnifying glass! LOL)

This is a great dual outlet digital timer than can be used year-round to power household items on a schedule. The instructions were sufficient for a good understanding of how it works. It has many programmable options and was an easy setup. I use it to power lights for a period of time each day. A great addition to your timer collection whether you will use it seasonally or year-round.

This outlet timer does work, but it has some issues. The display is dim, so you'll need to set it in bright light. Some of the text is very small and difficult to read (days at the top of the screen). Setting the time is pretty straight forward, but programming is not nearly as simple as other timers I've used. I ordered this to use with a Christmas tree but after realizing I needed to program different times I've decided to go with a remote controlled timer that I already had instead. It isn't worth the headache again.The one scenario where I think it could be worth the time involved in programming is if you want to have lights programmed to turn on when you are on vacation and you want the random feature which causes the on and off times to be staggered within a 30 minute window, so it isn't obvious to a casual passerby that your lights turn on at precisely 5pm each night.It's affordable and works, but in my opinion there are easier options out there that will save you time.

This is a good timer for the price point. Most of the instructions were easier to follow than many electronic devices. Programming it reminded me of setting the record times on an old VCR, for those old enough to remember them. If you could program those, you'll probably be able to program this device.The only thing that isn't covered well in the instructions is the "week" button. It would be more accurate to call it "day" because you're really setting the timer for individual days. Calling it "week" made me think you had to program the weeks at first glance. Calling it "days" would have sent me down the right path automatically.The display isn't backlit either, so in dim light it's really hard to read. The "days" mentioned previously are hard to read all the time because they're at the top of the display and there's a raised frame around the display, so you have to angle the top of the display away from you to see the days. Programming it in the daylight is the best option.Note that you can plug two devices into the timer, but you can't program each outlet individually, they both follow the same program. The four-stars I gave it is rounded up from 3.5, which would be my rating if we could do half stars. Overall this is serviceable, especially at this price point, but you might want to look at your options.

First one arrived and didn't work. I pressed the reset button and it died completely. I received a replacement, and it did the same thing. I wrote support@cokwell.com and they never responded. Screw it, Ill go elsewhere

This Outlet Timer, COKWEL Digital Timer with Dual Outlets, 7 Day Programmable Indoor Electrical timer -really works good controlling several night lamps when I am on vacation, etc. and has no problem turning lights on/ off during night hours. Seems very well- made and safe to use with a 4-terminal electric box plugged into it - with no overheating or warming- even with three lights on. Good safety product that is easy to program! Great find!
