I use this to time my outdoor fountains. The last one that said it was outdoor quality ended up getting water in it. This one appears to be more waterproof but I keep it oriented properly anyway.

Have this timer outdoors operating my 1.5 HP pool pump. Made it through the season no issues.

so I reviewed the average wattage it takes for a half horsepower Motor at 120 V, And I don't know what their rating is but the way they have it listed. It looks like it's a half horsepower. But I think what they mean is 1 up to 2 hp. I forget what the wattage came out to be, but this pump Timer more than covers a one horsepower 120 V. I've used it through a full summer no real issues.

I use the timer for my swimming pool filter. I did not realize when I ordered this timer that there is no way to turn my pump off except to unplug the filter or the timer. I often need to turn off the filter for one reason or another. Similar timers have a knob that rotates as the timer runs. You can manually turn the knob to turn the pump on or off without unplugging anything. This timer has a switch that allows me to turn my pump on while bypassing the timer but I can't turn it off.

Ad for ease of use, I wasn't sure if I would like this as the dial pins are very small but they work great and are easy to set. A great value for the money. Very accurate for the time. As for noise, there isn't and what it turns on. I is versatile for other components that need a timer. I am using it on my 1 1/2 horsepower pool pump.

I really like this product. Using it for a hot water re-circ pump, so it is mounted in the garage. Well constructed. I liked being able to mount it above the outlet and the housing looks clean and professional. Two small suggestions that would really improve the product: include a template for drilling the screw holes. It could just be printed on one side of the box or on a piece of paper. I just used one screw and some velcro to avoid that whole deal and that approach is working just fine. It also really needs an indicator light so I can easily verify that it is working.

Timer quit 1 week after return date. Would not buy again. Very disappointed.

Easy to set up for my outside lights. Set it up for sun down till about midnight and it functions great.
