Gotta love the simple solutions in life. This lets me connect all the dumb things to my TV at once instead of swapping out cables. Now I have all my consoles hooked up, a cable for my laptop, a spare for ????... It's nice

This handy little device is not designed for any high end enterprise uses. What it's excellent at is helping to manage the myriad of HDMI input devices found in the average home. I'm sure that most people of a certain age remember the 'old school' switch boxes that you'd have on the back of your TV set to facilitate normal viewing and video games. This is pretty much the refined and upgraded equivalent.It allows you to interface 4 input sources--eg: cable box, Chromecast, Roku, video game, etc.--and deliver them to two different output displays (a TV or monitor). You can do the old 'video wall' effect if you want but a better use is to switch back and forth between them. Switching is seamless, the device supports multiple output and there are several different control methods with the included IR remote being the most convenient. That's really about all there is to it. OREI is well known for making devices of this type with a focus on business use cases but this device is a better fit for home usage and the price is definitely right. Highly recommended!

works great for me, although my son gets a blank screen ones in a while? don't know why? Maybe the cable is bad?however like i said i have the same setup and it has no problem at my house! ?

I work in computer research, and i have a number of devices requiring different OS and versions on my desk at any given time, the 4 in two out allows me to keep two of my 3 screens associated with my current project focused on a particular system and allow me the real estate i need to view files and code. The device is limited to 4K@30Hz, but i don't need text at much better resolution, I'm not playing games on these systems very often and i have a main monitor for that on my real rig. The remote is simple and convenient if i need to show someone something from the work bench. overall a good buy

The OREI 4 in 2 out HDMI matrix switcher works fantastically to route the HDMI signals from multiple devices to multiple TV sets. I have an older set in my bedroom, and I sometimes like to play games on that, but always had to switch the HDMI cords in the back and that is painful. I also am ran out of extra HDMI ports on my primary TV, so adding something new is not possible without a splitter.The 4x2 matrix allows me to consolidate my 3 game consoles and send them to either TV in any combination, even duplicating the same signal on both sets. This opened up 2 HDMI ports on my primary TV.The only real issue with this device is that it is limited to 4K@30Hz, which is not a typical setting for this type of HD signal. My one game system sends signals at 4K@60Hz, so it will never allow 4k transmission. I have to revert to 1080p and force it to this mode in settings. My primary TV does 4K at 120Hz, so when I play on that set through the switcher, I also lose the 4K option. The TV then upscales again, but the picture is less detailed than running at native resolution. Hardcore video performance people and people with current generation game consoles should pass this unit by, but it does fine for the casual user like myself. I can live with the 1080p resolution.The system works great otherwise. The switching response is almost instant without any video artifacts or glitches. The IR remote is also responsive and can select the video source from across the room. You can also display all 4 sources simultaneously on Output A, convenient for seeing what is displayed on each device.The unit also comes with mounting brackets so the device can be mounted behind your stand system or on the wall, or use the included rubber feet and put it up front as I did. I chose this method so that I can use the IR remote.This device does a great job of switching your HDMI signals, especially for things like DVD players and older game systems. The unit works flawlessly, but the architecture is 1 generation behind in performance. If you can live with this, it excels in every other way.

I use this for live technical presentations for HAM radio education seminars.I route the presenter's PC presentation into 1 input channel and the output of my video rig into the other. Outputs are the room projection system and the 4K HDMI capture card for my video rig. I can easily project the PC, Presenter camera and desktop work camera to the projector. I can also grab the PC presentation as I need it.- This system scales perfectly and switches without any delay from the remote control to any of the 4 inputs.- It cycles through the 4 inputs with a push of a button on the front panel as well, so 2 ways to switch it.- Video quality is great- Switching time is very fast.- Build quality is very good, like all OREI products I have used.Overall- I LOVE this device!

This review is for: OREI Quad Multi HDMI Viewer 4 in 2 Out, HDMI Matrix Switcher 4 Ports Seamless Switching and IR Remote Supports 4K PIP PS5/PC/DVD/Security Camera, HDMI Switch RS-232 Optical Out - HDS-402MVI have a smart TV in my bedroom. But I'm not even using this for that.I set up to 40 inch monitors in my bedroom. They are on top of each other so I can just look up and down to see them. One is for work and one is personal.I also wanted to be able to use these monitors for other devices.This is working perfectly. It can take four different HDMI inputs and separate them to the two monitors.I appreciate that they included a real remote with real buttons instead of a membrane remote. I once got a product from this brand with a membrane remote and was surprised that this brand would you something so cheap. I'm glad that they've upgraded to something normal and real.
