There were a few spots on the bottom that didn’t get painted from the factory. The unpainted spots had some surface rust probably from sitting in the warehouse unpainted. I had to sand them down and touch it up with some Rustoleum high gloss paint. For that it only gets 4 stars. Other than that it fits well and is a good replacement so if you’re not scared of touching these up they’re a lot better than the old rusted out skid plate on my 79 CJ5.

Fits well and does the job. These should be replaced anytime you change axle seals and/or bearings.
