I thought this was an impulse buy and a mistake, I bought several other puller kits that are more expensive and have dozens of parts. Turns out I ended up reaching for this every single time. If you need to remove suspension components such as tie rod ends then you need this.

The bolt head size is closest to 25/32". 3/4? Too small. 13/16? Too big, it'll round out. 19mm? Also too small. 20mm? Ref. 13/16. The steel is too garbage to make the normal sizes that fit work, and the weird as heck 25/32 size that's closest is still a bit big for the 0.776" bolt head. The "engineer" that designed this tool needs to go back to school for a few years. Also the 3/8 square in the bolt head rounded out too, of course. UPDATE: Also stripped the threads off the bolt after ordering the correct size socket. Complete piece of junk.

Save some time and spend a bit more on a pulled with arm supports. This style of puller just bent and slid off once I started putting the onions to it. It’s just not strong enough to pull a pitman arm, even though that is it’s intended use. Live and learn.

As you can see on the photo: arrived, try to use it -just bend and slipped over.

The puller broke while using impact gun to remove pitman arm on my 1973 dodge dart.Perhaps , being a 45 year old car and arm was original played into the puller breaking.I bought a $130 puller, which was far better built, and it worked fineNot for heavy duty jobs.Spend the money and buy a top that's made to last.

Nada mas salir del paquete ya se observan algunas grietas en las pestañas que agarran al pitman. Al usarlo se evidencia lo observado, una pestaña se parte al hacer esfuerzo.Lo barato sale caro.

Seller refunded me thankfully. Cause I used the tool once and it bent. Also the threads stripped. Torqued at 210 ftlbs

Might have just been my pitman arm but mine bent after a few times of use.

Used this on a 1998 Chevy s10 to remove the tie rod ends from the center link. It worked real well and they came right out. The only problem I had is that this tool is slightly too big on the jaw length to remove the center link to pitman arm joint.

I bought this little guy, because I was afraid to beat on the tie rod end / centerlink connection beneath my car. I have five kids and a wife who would likely be sad if I were crushed under a Chevy Caprice station wagon. This tool slid easily over the centerlink and the tie rod end came loose with a few twists of a 3/8 inch ratchet. If you have not done this before, please be aware that the separation can be a bit violent. Wear eye protection and pay attention to what you are doing. Without this tool, the job would have taken significantly more time than I spent. While I hope to not have to use the tool again, I am certainly glad I now have it in my tool box.

Fought with a pitman arm for an hour, realized it would win the battle, so I order this puller, waited 2 days. (This was on a car that sits in the garage most of the time, and I was replacing the steering box also, so no big deal) Received the puller, removed the arm in about one minute. The right tool for every job !
