I liked the size for heating up slightly larger things in the microwave. I use those rectangular dishes with the snap tight tops to store food and removing the top to heat up in the microwave. I don't trust them in the oven or my convection oven. This allows me to make certain smaller portions of things baked in my air oven. To help my diet, I can make half portions of au gratin potatoes or tuna Tetrazzini. With the splatter guard I can heat up cans of stew or beans in the microwave for a quick meal.There are a few downsides mainly for the lid, if it was made from silicone, it would be oven safe. Another thing is I'd like to have slight tabs on the sides to help pick it up with oven pads or mitts when it gets hot. It's a little unsteady to grab with pads and not gloves from an oven since I have to grasp the sides and get under the bottom if possible. The lid is tricky to get secure when moving to the fridge. It's best to set it on a table to fix it properly on. Note the lid is not vented, so it may be sucked tight when food cools in the refrigerator. I didn't test this, and it may not be a problem because I don't think it seals as tight at those rectangular types. This does have that advantage of oven safe, and you can see the contents in or out of the fridge easily. Recommended.

This baking dish is exactly what I was expecting. It's deep enough to cook a chicken, but still small enough to fit in my cabinet. I like that the lid fits well so I don't have to use a new container for leftover casseroles. It's a great size for me to make four to six servings in, which allows me to cook for my spouse and her daughter and have leftovers for lunch. It is excellent!

This is the perfect size for my hubby and I. I love that it is big enough for anything I might use it for, but small enough for just the two of us. I love that I don't have to dirty multiple items and can just throw the left overs in the fridge. It isn't heavy like some casserole dishes are. And I love that I don't feel like I am going to burn me getting it out of the oven. It is perfect!

I've already used it twice for mac and cheese, and I was really happy with the results. It allows for the perfect crust and retains heat beautifully, keeping everything warm for a long time. The lid fits perfectly, making storage easy too. Overall, a solid addition to my kitchen!
