Direct replacement for the door bell circuit. Easy to replace. Did the job. Priced right. No trips to electrical stores looking for replacement .

The construction of the product is excellent, but the design is flawed. The method used to attach this transformer to an electrical box is a clip inserted through a knockout hole. The clip uses a screw to exert pressure against the electrical box and wedge the clip in such a way as to hold the transformer to the electrical box. It's a bad design. Any nudge or bump on the transformer causes the entire transformer to fall off of the electrical box, which means it is left hanging by the electrical lead wires. I would not recommend this product to anyone, unless you really understand what you're doing when it comes to mechanical/electrical issues.UPDATE: Not sure how long these should last, but this one died at 12 years.
