This is a good friction hitch pulley. I already have one that is black with a blue wheel. I wanted the green one too, so I ordered this because the picture shows a green one. I received a black one. Not cool.I would rate the pulley at 4 stars. Not as slick as DMM, but plenty good enough, and significantly less money. The representation is 1 to 2 stars—it is a Notch pulley, but wrong color.

I do tree work here and there as a side gig. I have been wanting this along with an eye loop so I could start climbing on more advanced friction hitches. With proper knowledge and training, these make tending slack,moving your tie in, and decending so much faster.

Heard lots about notch pulleys but wanted to get one and test it for my self and im glad i did. Works really really well it rolls really smooth and very happy with it.

I am using this product as a redirect anchor point while climbing SRT and performing tree trimming operations. Works great as a redirect that helps me extend the life of my climbing ropes by reducing friction and wear. Great product that’s built to last!!

Go with a trusted brand even if it costs more. Sorry to say, but you will see a whole gamut of generic names on climbing and repelling gear. Be extremely careful in your selections. Many of these products make false claims. Do the research. There are plenty of good reviews on the internet with tests to back-up the results. Notch is a recognized company, committed to building professional equipment. Notch equipment is sold by professional arborist suppliers world-wide. I own many different Notch products for tree work and all of it performs it's job without failing. Durable, smooth operating, and dependable. All worth the extra buck. Most of all look for the CE rating. Know what it's weight and shock load limits are. Know what the pulley is designed for and not designed for. Pass on any product that does not disclose this information.
