I tried this about 10x and thought I bought the wrong one. My brother in law came, b/c he used to work in appliances, and made the same mistake the first time. After looking at the old piece he saw what he did wrong and hooked it up correctly. Been using it a few weeks now and no issues.

I used this to replace the gasket on my Electrolux efls627utt. It works as you'd expect. I followed the steps on a YouTube video which are a little bit tricky at times, but this part itself was a drop-in replacement.

Double check your model number and make sure you are buying the correct replacement - there are many models and styles etc. This seal worked flawlessly but came from a slightly different mold. Differences vs original were in non-functional areas. This SOB wouldn't seat correctly for me but a little dish soap and water made me think I was an idiot for not starting with that installation helper when it easily slipped into the proper position. Save the grief and do some internet project help surfing!

I have a vast experience with appliance repair. I suggest watching u-tube videos closely. Most will make it look routine with a few rough spots. Getting the 2 retainer rings back on is the hardest part for one person.Tub spring ring was the most difficult. Removing both cement weights (upper and lower) made it easier. Using clamps to hold the spring in place (I used C-clamps) one on top the second at the 3 o'clock position. Suggest wearing gloves when stretching this spring, it will try to bite you.This allowed me to stretch the spring the rest of the way without pulling out.For the outer ring on the front cover was made easier by taking a 3/4 X 3/4 X 6-inch-long piece of wood. I drove 2 finish nails 4 1/8 inches apart. Only leaving about 1/4 inch of the head of the nails exposed. This ring is a 2-piece wire and spring combo. By stretching the spring over the nail heads keeps the ring open enough to easily slip the ring in place.Make sure the boot is lined up with the arrows and the boot is over the lips before installing the rings.I used window cleaner to wet the inside of the boot where it fits over tub and front door panel. This helped with install and moving the boot to align the arrows.

Slight modification required to work in my model as this replaces several different part numbers. This part has a few openings which were easily capped over as my model didn’t use the openings. This may not have been needed but I did to be safe. Other than that a perfect fit and saved me $50 over retail price at other places. The top and front of the machine do need to be removed but lots of YouTube clips showing the procedure.

The door boot seal for our Electrolux washer had torn and we needed a new one ASAP. This product seemed to be the one I needed after browsing the questions that were answered and I ordered it Thursday. It was delivered by Saturday and it was exactly the part we needed. It matched our old boot seal perfectly. I recommend watching the YouTube videos for a how to on replacing this item. It took us less than 15 min to replace and have the washer up and running again. We have no leaks and are happy with our purchase!
