I really like this product. It is well built and looks attractive. The only problem was that the plastic pad supports that the dumbbells rest on are not permanently attached to the metal stand so when you lift up the dumbbell from the stand, the plastic pad supports lift from the metal stand as well. I solved this problem by using gorilla glue to permanently attached the plastic pads to the metal stand. Problem solved!

This weight stand holds all my weights. I have 5s, 8s, 10s, 12s, and 15s being held with this stand. My get another to hold heavier weights.

This is a bit wonky with the protective covers that weights sit in come off every time you remove a dumbbell. Would not recommend.

I’m not handy at all and I could assemble it without help. All I needed was a screwdriver with an Allen wrench head and an extra wrench to hold the screw to help tighten it. The directions were adequate. It’s quite sturdy and I like that it has a small footprint. I wanted to be able to rest a kettlebell on the top, but there isn’t a ‘base’ on the top to hold it securely. It rests fine on the bottom, though.

The five level dumbbell rack from Fitness Republic did truly take only about 30 min. to assemble. No special tools needed; just the provided bolt driver and an adjustable crescent wrench from your household tool kit. The base was easy to assemble. The two vertical racks were a little more tricky, but no big deal. Provided instruction sheet was bare minimum, but it really didn't need to say much. Obviously, insert the bolt from outside to inner part of frame and place a washer between bolt head or nut and frame. With that said, I found that even though the rubbery, plasticky bumpers no longer stink to high heaven, they are apparently now stiffer (new material?) and difficult to install over the rack slot edges. So, I left them off. It's still a perfectly functional and dare I say, nice looking rack in our COVID forced home workout area. I don't think the bumpers are all that necessary anyway. I've got 20 lb. and 15 lb. dumbbells stacked next to each other with good room to spare. Just be careful when placing dumbbells onto the rack. There's bare metal to knock your fingers against.UPDATE: I decided to work with the bumpers/collars some more and found that if you loosen up the slit opening by pulling it apart it will then somewhat easily slip over the metal collar. That should save a few fingers from pinching against bare metal. Updating to 5 stars.
