It’s a good size, and I like the latch on the front door. But there is an oil coating on the inside that I’m still trying to remove. Nothing sticks to the glass. My praying mantis can’t stick to it, I’ve tried gluing things to the glass like Spanish mass or branches, but it just pops right back off. I’ve tried hot glue and glass glue alike. I think I would need to score the glass at this point to get something to stick, but I don’t want to damage the enclosure. By the same token, I am thinking I should silicone in the edges on the inside bottom so that it’s water tight and I can use it for a terrarium and just have things coming out of the bottom, but I really don’t know if the silicone is going to stay. For now I’m not able to use it until I figure out what to do with it.

This is a great little terrarium for spiders! Word of caution: I deducted a star because there are gaps around the door that smaller spiders can escape from. I recently aquired a young jumping spider. He's just large enough to not be able to get through the air holes, but the gaps in the doors would be nothing to him. I have to put a headband around it in order to keep it pressed closed. Once my spider has grown some more I can remove it. I still recommend this one because you certainly want the cross-ventilation. If you have slings you could always secure mesh on the outside temporarily until they are large enough to not slip through. Anyway, not the prettiest solution but it works for now and is temporary. Otherwise these gaps are just more ventilation. The materials are good and easy to take care of. The aforementioned door opens and closes smoothly and the hinges seem in good order. The glass is clear and free of scratches thanks to the excellent packaging. I ordered another one.

Got this to do a living moss terrarium for my jumping spider and it turned out great! (DIY on my YT, same SN).My only minor complaints are the gaps around the glass door are a bit of a bummer (the door doesn't sit flush and sort of sticks out). This causes an issue with fruit flies for smaller jumpers. The vent holes on the side also have to be covered with mesh for the same reason.I just got a new jumper so I'll likely be getting another one of these.

It’s a perfect little set up for our new jumping spider we are picking up next week. We had a little bit of cracking on the one side plastic vent but nothing major that would cause issues. Love that it’s glass(other than the plastic vents). Well constructed and worth the money spent

Got this for my pet Twin-flagged jumping spider, it’s been perfect! She builds her hammocks in the top corners, and it’s great to be able to open the door without disturbing her webs. She’s a smaller species so the only change I had to make was cutting out small filter paper circles to fit over the three air holes sections because the holes were a bit large, but that was easy & still looks great. It also functions well as a terrarium, we’ve been growing succulents and pothos in it for her to climb, and both spider and plants seem very happy. It was a little more expensive than other spider homes, but the quality really shows and I have recommended it to all my friends looking for small insect/arachnid homes :)

My spider, Sweets, seems to be very happy in a home that resembles outside life. I find it cute, fits in well with my home decor and hopefully will hold humidity better than her last area. The stability of the glass was impressive and I had nothing to assemble but the plants I placed inside. Very easy. It also came with, super cute, lady bugs that I was able to place on her cork bark and twig.
