I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because when it came, it had dents and a few chips on coating. I think that was because how it was packaged. It was in a plastic bag in a paper bag. The plastic bag was a mess after undoubtedly suffering endless tumbling of a large, irregularly shaped heavy object apparently made of cast aluminum.And it’s over sized for my purpose. I’m reusing an old light stand as a mic stand. The mic weighs a pound, too much for average swivel grips. This does the job beautifully and can probably handles 10 times the weight.So I’m more than happy with this.

This is perfect for my needs - A lot bigger in size than i thought it would be. Very rugged and well built - my only complaints as of now would be that when loosening it to make an adjust ment the main base get "stuck" and i have to put a little pressure on it to break free then its good to go. I'm hoping this is just a result of it being fresh and brand new and the painted texture will wear down over time and make this less of an issue. overall im very pleased with my purchase and plan to buy a few more in the future.
